Ankit Gera calls off his relationship with mommy Monica Singh after his fathers intervention.But theres a catch.Apparently,Ankit was lured into the relationship as a result of a ring that he was wearing and once he removed it,the relationship ended.Always touted to be an odd couple (Monica and Ankit are playing mother-son in their show Pratigya),the future of their relationship was always under the scanner.Unable to sustain,this is the latest relationship in the tinsel town to bite the dust.The two after dating for more than a year have finally separated.Ankit has distanced himself from Monica who is trying hard to woo him back by apparently flirting with those present on the sets,thinking that it would make him jealous.But the feat for Ankit has ended for good.A source from the sets informs,Ankit and Monica were a couple until Anupam Shyam aka Sajjan Singh asked Ankits father to watch his sons decision pertaining to his personal life,thereby apparently,hinting at his affair with Monica.Ankits father then confronted him and questioned him about his affair.The lad told him that ever since he has worn a particular ring given to him by Monica,he couldnt think beyond her.His father then asked him to remove the ring immediately and the moment Ankit did that,he started crying like a child.His father then convinced him that this relationship is not meant to be.Paying heed to his fathers advise,he snapped all his ties with Monica and stopped talking to her.Ankit,apparently,is through this relationship.He has started mingling around with the crew and coactors which he had stopped while he was dating Monica. Ankit said,I dont want to comment on this as its a personal matter. Monica Singh remained unavailable.Well,old is not always gold!
