Munda Maan has changed his roop 😎

He is now a cute sardar dancing in the dhoop 😎 😆

In disguise into maasi's abode he will troop 😆

Then he will throw all their minds for a loop 🤣 🤣

The idiots will put the fox to guard the hen coop 🤣 🤣 🤣

For those who are mad that to this level MSK had to stoop

Well given the circumstances he had to assess and regroup 😎

All said and done MSK is one wily fox 😆 😉

And his way of thinking is always out of the box 😉 👍🏼

To manofy his beloved he first needs to enter her house

To achieve that objective the fox pretends to be a mouse. 😆 😆 😆

Once the fox get its foot in the door then the fun starts 🤣

Compared to MSK 😎 all these guys are nothing but upstarts 🤣

He will steal his beloved from under their noses 😉

He will be saluting them with one hand 🤣 🤣 🤣

And with the other he will be handing Geet roses. 🤣

He is going to make fools of them at every turn 🤣 🤣

The good times of GHSP will definitely return 😃

The actors are awesome and they will all rock 👍🏼

I am excitedly looking forward to this track 😃

Most importantly Maaneet are finally together 😍

in the same frame to set the screen afire 😍

Along with the comedy there will be plenty of romance 😉

There will be lots more passion and desire 😉

Come on people let us not look a gift horse in the mouth 😳

Weren't we all angry a few weeks back that the show was headed south 😡

Grab a coke and a bag of chips and sit back and relax 😎

This is going to be a laugh riot like none other so chillax 😎

I bet lots of mauj masti is what they have in store 😆 😆 😆

Stop over analyzing, just sit back and enjoy the show 😃

Analysis will late haan.....moi has mittings 😎

Moi has to run KC in MSK and Adi's absence 🤣

Yesterday, when we initially saw spoiler pics of Maan performing a bangra again, I had tried to find some symbolism in why it was being introduced at this juncture. Since Medha, a denzian with hawk eyes is not visiting the den often these days (because of easter), I had shared my thoughts with her over PM. Ingenious that she is, she shared with me her thoughts about what it could mean, and the piece that she has written is marvelous beyond words. I feel compelled to share her views with all the fellow denzians. Here it is for you guys to enjoy 😃

*********************************************************************************************************

Medha's words

The start of a New Year?

Isn't Baisakhi on 13 April 2011? I wonder if the celebrations at Beeji's house are in that context. If yes, that would signify a start to the New Year. And, we would have MSK hoping that he be afforded a new chance to mend his relationship with his Geet.

---

Now, you definitely set me speculating about the bhangra dance. And, here are a few thoughts in the context of the previous bhangra dances.

First bhangra dance -- against the backdrop of a class-conflict

So, the first bhangra dance in GHSP was set against a backdrop of a comparison of the different classes, different lifestyles they hail from. And, now we get another bhangra dance -- at a time when MSK and Geet are separated because of his ill-thought, hastily-uttered words which implied that Geet lacked the honour of a Khurana.

At the restaurant, Geet told the manager that the dal at the smallest of Hoshiarpur's dhabbas was much better than the Italian cuisine at the five-star restaurant. Unable to bear any insult of Geet, MSK dragged Geet out of the restaurant. In the car ride, MSK condescendingly spoke about the dal at her dhabba in comparison to the food at a five-star restaurant. Observing that he would only be used to eating at five-star restaurants, Geet told him that he could not sit in the open environment of a dhabba. MSK retorted that he knew how to conduct himself in a dhabba. Geet immediately challenged him to prove it. When he declined, she waved the proverbial red cape at him and told him that he had declined because he was scared. Well, MSK swallowed the bait and stopped the car at a dhabba.

Completely at home at the dhabba, Geet was distinctly happy. On the contrary, he was distinctly uneasy, at the receiving end of the curious questions and observations of the Punjabi family. In conversation with the Punjabi family, Geet made fun of MSK's upper echelons and his tight upper-lip behaviour.

Unwittingly, the Punjabi family assumed that they were a couple. The Punjabi gentleman mentioned how he had to eat 15 mirchis to prove his love to his wife. Geet said that only a true Punjabi braveheart would be able to eat 15 mirchis and that such men could not be found in cities. In response to the Punjabi couple, Geet clarified that they were not a couple, but merely a boss and his secretary. She also told them that MSK would not be able to eat mirchis. Quick to take up any challenge, MSK questioned her assumption that he could not eat mirchis, and proceeded to eat some mirchis. The moment he started to eat the mirchis, Geet tried to dissuade him, lest his health be affected. When her verbal attempts failed, Geet had to hold his hand and physically restrain him from eating any more. So, here again, the moment Geet realises that her Maan is hurting himself to prove something to her, she is likely to stop him from moving forward on the path of self-destruction.

Back to the dhabba scene. A cute lassi moment later, a group of bhangra dancers came in. Geet invited MSK to do the bhangra. He initially declined her invite. Yet, he was mesmerised by the sight of her joi de vivre. She pulled him into her circle. Compelled by her joi de vivre, he finally submitted to the moment and joined in the dance. And, surprise, he enjoyed it too.

Post dance, while they were leaving, MSK asked Geet if she were convinced that he could enjoy at a dhabba too -- significant of a simple lifestyle, a world apart from his Khurana lifestyle. With a nod, she acknowledged that he could. And, then she told him, "Aap itne bhi bure dusht danav nahin hain." So, here again, he will have to prove that he is her Maan, not a man solely defined by the Khurana tag. He will have to prove that he can be just like one of the several commoners that she so easily identifies with. He will have to prove that he does not consider her to be his inferior in any way. And, yet again, will she acknowledge, "You truly did not mean what you said."?

Second bhangra dance -- against a backdrop of third-party observations of MSK's inflexibility and angry temperament

The second bhangra dance was set against a backdrop of third-party observations of MSK's inflexibility and angry temperament and whether he would change for Geet.

Now, the second occasion on which MSK danced the bhangra was the day their engagement was scheduled to take place -- the engagement that did not take place.

As they returned from their secret visit to the hospital, MSK let go of Geet's hand to avoid any speculation about them returning together. Geet kept looking behind for him, and bumped into Sasha. Here, Geet has let go of MSK. Yet, even as she was leaving -- both the Khurana mansion and the city -- she kept looking back for him. She may have left him, but still yearns for him.

Back to the engagement. Sasha taunted Geet and questioned her as to why she was looking behind. She then told Geet that MSK was not a man to follow anyone, not one to go behind anyone. Geet, then confident in MSK's love, told Sasha that change was the law of the world, thereby implying that Maan would change.

Right on cue, Adi and the rest of the staff came in dancing the bhangra. They congratulated Geet. Adi told Geet that she could now officially tell "Maan Sir" not to address his staff in angry tones. She merely blushed at this, but said nothing about it. So, here was Adi, who expected that Geet could tone down the anger in MSK and also bring about a change in him.

The happy troupe of dancers pulled Geet into the dance. MSK walked into the scene and his mere presence silenced all. Grandma too entered and invited MSK to join in the dance. MSK declined her invitation.

Sasha went up to Geet. Referring to Geet's statement that change was the rule of the world and her implicit statement that Maan would change for her, she tauntingly said that Geet should ask MSK to dance. She laid down the gauntlet because, for her and the rest of the Khuranas' world, MSK was still a man who had never danced a bhangra. So, here was Sasha, who believed that no one, least of all Geet, could change MSK.

MSK noticed the silent undertones to this exchange. Confident that love had slowly changed her MSK at least in certain aspects, confident that he would once again dance the bhangra, she picked up the gauntlet laid down by Sasha and requested MSK to dance. A test to see if Geet's love had changed the hitherto inflexible, angry young man.

MSK looked at Geet. To those present, his stern expression did not soften to offer any hint of a smile, any indication that he would dance, any indication that he would prove that he had mellowed down, any indication that he could and would change for his Geet. Assuming that Geet had lost the challenge, everyone turned to leave. Finally, Geet too turned to leave. Unseen by them, MSK inclined his head at the musicians, indicating that they start the music. Those who turned to leave were stopped mid-stride by the sound of music, and turned around to the sight of MSK dancing a bhangra, a man who had mellowed down, a man who proved that he could change for his Geet. In the fire chi episode, MSK had recognised that he had to change, lest he destroy his relationship with Geet, and control his anger. He set out to prove that he had, but was unable to master the anger completely. Post-miscarriage, hit by a sense that he was losing his Geet, he was unable to control his anger at Dev, let it lose and, in the process, lost his Geet. Now, here again, MSK will prove that he can and he will change for Geet. By placing his hand on Dev's shoulder, he has already indicated that he is willing to yield his anger and hatred. Now, at this dance, we are likely to see him shrug off the burden of his angry temperament. Thus unburdened and unshackled, even if he has a heavy heart on account of the separation, he can dance easily to woo back his wife.

The initiator of the dances -- then and now

Now, both the first and second bhangra dances by MSK were at Geet's request.

This time, I assume that MSK will step forward on his own -- to prove that he did not mean what he said about her not being a Khurana, that he considers her his equal. He will step forward on his own to prove that he is willing to change -- nay has indeed changed -- his temperament for her, that he is willing not to yield anger and hatred for the sake of their love, for the sake of a new beginning in the New Year.

Some interesting discussions

The last few episodes seem to have brought in a wave of symbolisms and loop closures with them. Each one has tried to analyze it in their own unique ways and we have seen so many interesting discussions and views about the scenes we have been shown. I am just compiling 2 discussions that I shared with fellow denzians which I found very interesting. Hopefully you will enjoy it too. And needless to say, your views are most welcome.

I was wondering about one more thing and will appreciate all ur views

This show has shown us a lot of male dominance. Ever since Geet was a little girl she has been ruled (if I my say that) by men. She has always lived trying to meet the expectations of her daarji, her brother Brij, her father and then Maan. Do you find it symbolical that when she wanted to go away, when she thought she had lost everything in life, when she thought she had lost life itself, the one to give her refuge was a woman, beeji? Tej may be the dominant brother but he has no say in front of beeji, so in every sense, she is the head of this house. What could be the relevance?

Jyoti's response was very apt - Yes mayb they want to show female dominance now...so even the grt MSK will hv to come and convince a female now to get his wife back..that makes even society realise the power of women and how they r no more a doormat in the house...but again we hv girls like Pammi as well who r treated like doormats in the same house...so in a way I guess CVs r trying to create various shades of women...we hv dabang Biji ...we also hv timid Pammi and then we hv Geet

********************************************************************************************************

Arwenish - i told you yesterday i loved your bangles analysis......... i read that again today........ and i remembered that promo shown at the time of their engagemet........ where MSK put Dupata on her head and she ask him if she is more important or his family and the red color bangle which he was puting on her wrist broke............ though it was just promo....... But has its significance............... throw some light on ot as well................

I had not accounted for this in my analysis because this was a promo. But if I have to find a symbolism, I would like to think of it this way. Bangles are considered with suhaag ki nishaani for women. A married women adorning bangles is associated with the well being of her husband. The promo showed her bangles breaking when she asked him if she was more important to him than her family. This stage of the story showed a slight setback in their relationship when their engagement could not take place since Geet had walked out of her after seeing Dev, and was soon followed by Maan's lift accident where he had to be hospitalized and was in serious condition. Since at that stage in the story Maan had already accepted Geet to be the center of his life, the breaking of her bangales in the promo can be attributed to the uncertainity of their relationship and the position of Maan's life after the accident.

Now again, they are at a stage where there is uncertainity in their relationship and when they met after their separation it was in front of a colorful bangle shop. It could indicate that all will be well in their paradise since the bangles this time did not break, but added so much color to the surrounding in which Maaneet met. 😃

********************************************************************************************************

Episode Analysis

Maan and me are friends like no other
We have our share of fights, even ones bitter
To solve our problems we need no helper
To all of u - "Do not disturb" is the one liner

Everytime Geet and Maan are in serious trouble, it is because of someone else's interference in their life. Else, they know how to solve it on their own. They know it themselves and have tried their best to let everyone else know as well. But still people interfere and create problems in paradise. When they finally met after their separation and Maan suggested that he would talk to Biji, Geet stopped him and told him that it is her forgiveness he seeks and Biji should not matter. I was very happy with her statement although I had been upset earlier when she let Tej and Biji dictate terms to her about whether or not she can go back to Maan. Today, yet again, she made it clear to all her family that it is Maan and her problem and no third person should be ill-treated or should interfere in solving it. And that was very apt and right. This is proof enough that things will get better again.

Geet is defined by her self-respect and innocense
And I created a situation very intense
When I questioned these two of her major strengths
And now i will get her back at the cost of any penance

Maan realizes the extent of damage he has caused to their relationship this time by uttering those senseless words. He is a man with a lot of pride, arrogance, self-respect and ego. But today, for the sake of his love, he is willing to sacrifice everything that is important to him and win her back. In a way, it kind of completes a very tricky loop. He took away the thing that was most important to her when he questioned her judgement and self-respect. In order to win her back, he is sacrificing everything that is important to him. Very apt.

On the eve if Biji's birthday Tej shooed away his existing driver
Depriving Lachi of someone with whom she could bicker
But now they need a replacement for that place they figure
Not to worry, our munda heard th discussion and is on his way, no fikar

We saw yesterday that in his anger Tej fired his existing driver. Maan and Adi are leaving no stones untruned and are stalking even the maid of the house to get information. Well, were they rewarded or what? They figured that the family could use a new driver and Maan was more than willing to take up that job. So this year, Biji will get a gift for her birthday that will be more than she could ever ask for, a HAWT looking new driver.

Adi will handle maamu and Lucky
He better be careful for this duo can be picky
As it is they are too senseless and tricky
They are nothing, for Adi has handled the likes of Sasha who are tacky

Today we saw Adi help Maan by handling maamu. Since maamu and Lucky have been shown to be together and since Lucky already beat up Adi, I feel like Adi should be the one to handle him as well. So far Maanu has been shown to be one who is easily decievable because of his forgetfulness. The same will hold for Lukcy since he is a character who has been shown to be innocently stupid, attension seeking and one who can easily be fooled. If done well, we can expect to see a lot of fun between and with these 3 characters.

Hey everyone!

How did you find the episode today?
😆

YEah, I wanted to write about sardarji..but sigh..not yet.

tomorrow..oh ballu-kitna wait kara rahe ho?!
LOL

anyway, today's episode was good.
I liked the way Geet's gharwalas are gradually getting to know Geet and her outspoken attitude. She defended Adi today, empathised with him and prayed for HER maan's safety...little does she know that he will be the driver of their relationship for a bit..and will take her for a courtly ride..a ride she will never forget.
Think- it will give her such memories to cherish- memories of her man becoming a driver to manao her...ooo..i would love to throw some bhaaw and i hope Geet will too..of course, in good fun.
What I am also looking forward to is that how maan and geet will take the family for a ride THEY will never forget..and hopefully before leaving, Geet would have inspired Pammi a bit.

I love the kind of detailed hilta-dulta attitude of Lucky..LOL...the Lucky-Jugnu scene was cute

Also Jugnu's scene with Adi was awwww!! Adi is so adorable..ise bolte hain being sarcastic hahaha..in good humour of course :D

Geet says something is about to happen- yeah the maan you knew will become according to the article, at least, a happy happy guy- to make geet smile.

I'm sure at the end of it- the angry side- where Maan gets angry at the drop of a leaf, will be overtaken by this sweet haha-ing wala maan :D

Compatible Maneet have always been but I would love to see how Geet and Maan behave with each other now...and will this change(in attitude) actually change their relationship and develop it for the future.

Maan has previously been a dream-prince who has taken away Geet on this white horse..her knight in shining armour who saved her, irrespective of the fact that she never asked for his help..
Now he's a driver- not a prince..pretty much linking to the fact that be it a prince of the khurana khandaan or a driver in disguise, Geet loves MAAN, not his khurana name.

What makes him MAAN is his immense capacity to help and empathise with Geet and to love her to bits. The only one in this world who understands her and how she feels, and he has come to get her back..to make her understand, to win back her bruised heart, that already belongs to him- which is why he feels her pain too.

The right buttons to push, the right words to say in order to make her smile, rouse her anger, as well as make her cry..there is no one but Maan who knows Geet as much...or vice versa..

I guess he won't hide his garb from Geet at all and Geet obviously won't expose him.
But unlike the previous courting time of maneet...this time, it will be a covert affair..not an overt one..

All that said...I liked today's epi..except in detailing...couldn't the words that were written in hindi be um..written in Gurmukhi? oh well..LOL..
Apart from that...acting was great!

I hope we get to see Maneet now..as much as i love seeing the others...it is nowhere compared to maneet...so..looking forward to them..and their scenes now..😳

that's it
love to all

I am impressed by Geet's firmness in keeping what happened between Maan and her to herself and not spill it to her family. This is one trait which I really admire. She has always ensured that they sorted out things between them without involving a third person. Today she proved that again when sticking up for Adhi, she was on the verge of blurting that Maan was the one who hurt her but changed it saying that the fight was between the two of them. Ever since she came to Beeji's house she never uttered on word about the problem between Maan and her. While she could not lie to Beeji about their MU when she confronted her, incapable as she is in lying, she never elaborated on what really transpired between Maan and her even after being repeatedly asked to do so. She even stopped Maan from meeting Beeji to explain things earlier on because she wanted to keep their problems to themselves. This is one commendable quality she has.

I am also impressed by Maan's determination to not only get back Geet but also is keen than she forgives him. Her forgiveness mean more to him than her accompanying him back. That is why discarded the two alternatives of getting Dadima to force Geet back to their house or using violence and force against Geet's family to take her back. He instead chose the more difficult path of going there himself as a driver in Geet's house and smoothen her ruffled feathers. As Medha pointed out he is willing to live a lie and subject himself to humiliation and ridicule, all for his Geet. It is a huge sacrifice considering that he despises lies and fraud and is a proud man who hates being ridiculed.

Reserved...:)

Sorry for this late take....as yesterday had some internet issues and today some electricity issues....😆.....As I'm already late with the take I"ll only write about the things I liked in the show in points

1) I liked Geet's standing up for what is right.....She has come a long way from the submissive, frail young girl of yore and has transformed into a strong independent woman who won't take things lying down. If she feels that something ain't right, she will voice her opinion and that's what she did at the dining table....👏
👏
2) The double standards of Beeji was quite apparent at the Dining Table....when she said that In Punjab, we immensely respect our sons-in-law but if they ill-treat our daughters then we don't forgive easily....but she doesn't see how her own son is ill-treating his wife and overlooks his mistake....The focus on Pammi's face during this scene to drive home that point was well shot...👍🏼

3) I like all interactions that Lucky has ...he has real good comic timing....😆

4) Adi- Maan convo was a kind of a reply to all the viewers who were asking the question that ....Why Maan can't just walk into Beeji's house and take away Geet??....Well Maan answered the question by saying that although he can forcibly take Geet away either by getting Daadi or by fighting with her bros....He wouldn't have gained anything in the process....as he would have just got Geet back physically but not mentally....coz unless and until Geet forgives him.....There is no point taking her home.

4) Lacchi trying to patao all and sundry to get her lover-boy back was crafty....And this trait of hers will create many comical and many dicey situations for Maaneet in the future

5) I absolutely loved the Jugnu -Adi convo....it was totally howlarious.....🤣.....Frankly, If such scenes are shown then I don't even mind Maaneet having less screen time.....Coz such scenes don't make you want to....🤢🤢....

6) So, the stage is set and come 9-30 tonight ...Sadda Punjabi Gabro Jawaan Driver Balwant Singh will make an entry into the Beeji household......😳

Precap With Balwant Singh on the bike was........☺️

Well, that's all I can remember right now....😛....And looking forward to today's epi....😉
