STARS IN THE DAYTIME A bunch of Bollywood stars descended in aapnu Amdavadon Tuesday.Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Shreyas Talpade along with team of Teen Thay Bhai,and Akshay Kumar-Bobby Deol of Thank You,were at city multiplexes to promote their films WILL THE AUDIENCE SAY THANK YOU Handsome hunks Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol created a mini commotion while on their visit to Ahmedabad on Tuesday.Girls,even guys,rushed to have a look as the two actors jostled for space while in the city to promote their film,Thank You.Interestingly,the two spoke about Amdavadi roads,business acumen here,cricket and their career,not so much about the film that releases this Friday.The roads here are so good,wish we had something similar in Mumbai.Gujaratis should be proud of themselves, began Akshay whos going through a lean phase with his recent film Patiala House being declared a flop at the box office.So,are all hopes pinned on Thank You I dont look at things in the hit and flop sense.Theres nothing like a lean phase... said Akshay as Bobby joined him,I dont think Akshay is going through a lean phase,hes given so many hits. ST: Some films work,some fail.Neither do I regret any work I have done nor does everything come with a stamp of success.I have done Iqbal and Dor with Nagesh Kukunoor and so when Bombay to Bangkok came to me,I did it.So what if it didnt work,I enjoyed working in it. After TTB,what else do you have in your kitty ST: Im doing Hum Tum Aur Shabana with Tusshar Kapoor and Minissha Lamba.Then,there is Chemistry with Soha,both masala films. Parameswari Mukherjee Teen Thay Bhai is a unique title... Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra: Mad Madder Maddest was initially the working title.Then,Gulzar was experimenting - Pigeon Kabootar,Parrot Tota,Teeja Titlee Butterfly - and therein came by Teen Thay Bhai. Why did you choose to produce the film and not direct it ROM: I like emotionally-moving stories;a story has to make you laugh,cry,feel sad or elated... for a fresh,youthful perspective I chose to have a new director,Mrigdeep Singh Lamba. Why no superstar in the film ROM: Its true there is no superstar but we have some of the best names - Gulzar,Sukhwinder Singh,Daler Mehendi,Om Puri and Sheyas Talpade! You have been away from the film scene for quite some time now... what is your next project ROM: I like working at my pace;filmmaking is no race or number game but pure art.My next film is intense and inspiring,called Bhag Milkha Bhag.Its based on Jeev Milkha Singhs life and were looking to zero in on the actor who will play the protagonist.
