Bollywood stars to attend film premiere in Pakistan

Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Fardeen Khan are among several Indian actors who will attend the premiere in Pakistan next week of a movie about the Taj Mahal, a newspaper reported Wednesday.
Filmmaker Akbar Khan said his movie "Taj Mahal _ An Eternal Love Story," will be shown in Lahore on April 26.
Khan told The Hindustan Times that ministers of culture from both India and Pakistan would be among the special invitees.
The Bollywood epic is about the 19-year marriage of Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz, who died from complications arising from the birth of their 14th child. The movie also tells the tale of the Mogul empire.
While the movie dwells on the famous 17th-century marble mausoleum, located in Agra near India's capital New Delhi, it also depicts the rivalry for the Mogul throne.
Khan said he hoped to arrange a special screening for Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. "We might have a special screening for the president, but we are awaiting confirmation on that that because they have to consider his security."
The movie will also be shown April 27 in Karachi.
Ties between the two rival neighbors have improved after the start of a peace process two years ago. Several Pakistani actors have played roles in India's Bollywood movie industry and filmmakers and actors have traveled across the border to promote movies.
