that was wrong....ash even before hum dil de chuke sanam was considered as india's most beautiful...that movie was her first hit and established her as a star..it had nothing to do with looks........mona shot to fame with jassi, the concept and not the looks.....the jassi makeover was in a way the death blow as most stopped watching after that..many people on other forums too say that.......so its pointless comparing the jassi makeover and ash's HDDCS.....and many things about mona is exaggerated...it was not ,like the whole nation went gaga..the whole nation doesnt even watch jjkn..people in the south dont watch jjkn and neither knwo who mona is..mona only looked better after her makeover..she definitely did not becoma an ash😕...and some feel that the jjkn spirit was killed after the makeover..not all liked the new jassi..it was nothign against mona, onyl that people started feelign that now there is no difference between jassi and the rest

as for mona's popularity,let me tell u ,she is very very popular in the U.S atleast.when she came here for the independence day parade,the crowd was huge and anxious to see her.

tina, how many people in madras know mona singh😉.....please, liking mona has nothing to do with saying that she's popular in the south..do as many tamilians who know radhika know mona😊..NO!!...practically every tamilian in madras knows radhika...(for those who dont know who radhika is, she is like tulsi...very very very very popular..her first serial was really popular but those which followed arent half as good as her first one🤢..but she IS known to everyone in chennai)..mona is not popular in the south...none of me own extended family members know mona..heck, my dad himself does not mona, neither do my grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins etc etc.....the keralites dont know her..being a south indian, i know it very well....no comparison between ash's popularity and mona's popularity.....ash is quite famous in the south for her movies like jeans, iruvar and kandukondein kandukondein..even people vaguely remember kajol for her performance in the movie(forgot the name..it starred prabhu deva, arvind swamy and kajol and it was a big hit..i forgot the name..)...

mona is NOT famous all over india..the people who have a subscription to sony and who watch it know her.....the people of indian origin in the US know her...NO COMPARISON BETWEEN MONA AND ASH..not even self comparisons......if mona is to be compared to someone, its esha deol...esha too had an image makeover for dhoom and she became more popular after that....ash's popularity did not change drastically after HDDCS, and neither did mona's after her makeover....infact, ash's popularity has like been steadfast, mona's has only decreased as hardly anyone watches jjkn these days

i agree tina, that they are not comparing ash and mona but they are comparing their lives..its an analogy to be drawn..but even that is wrong because ash's life pre HDDCS was not the same as mona's life pre make over..its the most ridiculous comparison 😆...she was popular before HDDCS , is popular after that, and will always be popular...mona was popular when jassi was launched..but sadly, her popularity is decreasing now after jjkn went downhill and after jjkn goes offair, and IF she does not make it big in bollywood, or get another serial, she will shade into oblivion..maybe the IFians will remember her as we have discussed so much but not everyone.........and mona is not india's dhadkan or anything like that.....mona is MADE very popular at IF but that's NOT the real picture...i have a friend of mine, monali, who was once a JJKN buff, a JJKN freak,and she was the one who told me to watch it....but now she herself badmouths jjkn and she agrees with me on the fact that moan aint all that.....so see, its not the whole of india who feel that mona is the hottest thing..a few chose to feel so....and about the whole nation going gaga.... I dont even feel that even 50% of india's vasttt population(of 1 billion) knows mona....lets not forget that the major chunk of the indian population is into agriculture and are rural people .....regional peopel dont know her....only those who watch hindi channels and hindi serials know her....

mona (according to me) is a muchhhh better actress than aishwarya rai....ash just cannot act.. mona is a very natural and spontaneous actress and is definitely the best in tellywood....but mona is not all that gorgeous when it comes to looks and its not needed also..rani is not as beautiful as ash but she is more liked and loved and is the better actress....loooks is not everything....but lets accept that ash is very very beautiful and one always looks at her in awe😊...
