Should Indian TV introduce Rating system?

Iits high time and Indian Television should adopt some sort of rating system too just like In America or UK, like PG-14 IV as I personally feel almost all the serials airing on TV are of least of that rating, if not sexually or violently then surely ethically and sensibly 🤔

Ethically and sensibly, true! Vague and irrelevant, to be sure most TV shows are. But what exactly is the rating system like? Any different from the TRP rating which runs our place?

yeah thats true..do you think they should start in Bollywood movies aswell?

If we were to have a rating for Band Baaja Baraat..what would it be? =O

Definitely not TRP cause its beyond my understanding and surely not IF ratings that too is kindda of maze puzzle to me. I am talking about censor rating for viewership ... like rating a program

G/PG/PG-13/R/NC-17 😃 or in indian cencorship

U/ U/A or A

here are some ratings for indian shows:

SB - saans bahu serial

RRF - rich rajhasthani family serial

AC - Angrezi Copied serial

CRS: crappy reality shows

3RGC - 3rd rate gujju comedy

LAY- lame ass youth serials

^^ I am high on AC and LAY. Guess, there's not much we've gotten to watch, these days. 🤓

And yeppers, topic maker - U and UA and A classification aren't pretty it. But the rating system wouldn't be worth unless there's something intelligent we are offered to watch.

well I think there is a reason why we call TV an Idiot Box 🤔 and in anyways Indian TV viewers do like - "not to intelligent soaps".

Agreed, the majority doesn't. But many who do suffer and they suffer bad. Boing! There's nothing much we can watch on TV, it's crazy to be even switching to news channels now. Reality shows are equally scripted, and the high-class slang knowledge they provide is beeped out, so that goes in vain too.

Newspapers minus the page three are solaces to our lives. Picking up shows to watch on TV is difficult, really. 🥱

can't agree more to that beeped out thing.
huh! I can relate to being "intelligent viewer".. 🤔

lately even music channels became a live "scams" or "dirt biking" championship.. they hardly show any songs..
