Chapter 5: Now What?

I looked at him in shock. What in the world was he saying?!

"Look Arohi, how long are we going to run away for? Your parents think you're staying over at Shefali's house for this night, what's she going to say tomorrow to your parents? I've thought about it a lot and if there's one thing I'm absolutely sure about it's that running away isn't going to solve anything. It might delay some of the problems, but it's not going to get us out of them."

I didn't want to show my outrage at this, but I couldn't help it.

"What are we going to do then?! Nothing? I'll just get married to Chiku and just forget about all this like it never happened?!"

Arjun smacked his hand against the wall leaving a dent in it. He closed his eyes and I could see the frustration and worry on his face.

"Look Arohi, you know that's not what I meant!"

I went up to him, taking his face in my hands.

"I'm sorry, I know you didn't, I'm just getting......"
"Frustrated?" he asked, his mouth curving into a slight smile.

I nodded as he took me into his arms. I probably knew it all along, but it was then that I realized that he wouldn't let anything happen to the two of us. His eyes spoke a promise - that no matter what happened now, we'd be together through it all.

"Alright lovebirds, Shefali has an idea!", she said, grinning from ear to ear.
"Kya?", we both asked at the same time. If it was something that could get us out of this mess, than I'd be willing to take Shef's crazy idea any day.

Shefali turned to look at Billu then. Arjun watched the love-stricken puppy face of Billu and had to distract himself with Arohi's hair to stop himself from laughing out loud.

"What are you doing?", Arohi whispered.
"Nothing" he replied, smirking.

He had to take a picture of Billu one of these days, he thought.

"Can you get a fake marriage certificate made? That way, we can all go to Arohi's house tomorrow and say that they got married and they'll have to accept!"

It was the first time that Sanchit spoke since the argument, but this time he seemed supportive of Arohi.
"Mera encounter toh hone se raha, ab kya Arjun ka karvaogi? You think chachu won't know the difference between a real certificate and a fake one?"

Arjun and Arohi echoed Sanchit's thoughts.

"Oye, are you crazy?!"
"Bad idea, Shefali".

Shefali folded her arms and dropped onto the sofa.
"Fine, don't use my idea", she huffed,"But does anyone over here have any better idea?"

Shefali could be such a drama queen when she wanted, Arjun thought. He shook his head, how in the world did Billu fall for her?

"Bhai, I have this awesome idea", Romit said, his face lighting up.
"What?", I asked.
"You can get bhabhi pregnant!"
"What?!" It was Arohi's turn this time. She looked at me with an expression that said, how is he your brother?
"Romit, please keep your idiotic ideas to yourself", I pleaded.

At this rate, only God could help us now.

I know its a short chappy, will update soon hopefully :) This chappy was mostly to lighten the atmosphere :) Tell me what you think or press the like button!
