I have not listened to the original song E WATAN by Md Rafi sab. As Sonu commented on Sandeep that it way beyond his caliber. What was the reason beyond that..was it based on breath control or technicality of the song?

I don't think it was breath control coz Sandy had proved his breath control with TU and Eena meena dika. I think it was the technicality and the passion that the song requires. At least that's what I think....I don't remem exactly what they said though 😕

i dont think it is beyond his capability
it just to promote karunya
sonu has never been so open
i was shocked when he said it so openly
i am sure sandeep can sing better than he did if he tries harer
go sandeep!!!!!!!

sonu has the greatest regard for rafi saab, i guess he is like the god of music to him. he also admited of being heavily influenced by rafi saab in his early days. when he did not even spare karunya in the rafi song, i'm not too surprised that he was so blunt to sandy. kindly stop draging karu in between sandeep and sonu it had the least to do with karu's promotion. i hope u realize taht sonu has no personal stake in karu's victory. i thought sandeep should hav put aside his smile for a while in this song, c'mon sandy its supposed to b a sad desh bhakti song.

i dunno ask sandeeep😉

well IMHO, smiling during a highly emotional song takes away from the mood of the song...ofocuse i thought sandy somewhat lacked the emotions otherwise also.

Your completely right. Sonu did not even spare Karunya with Rafi's song. Rafi is definitely beyond comparison.

But, I feel Sandeep did lack the emotion needed for this song.

Listen to the original and you will see how much Sandeep is lacking in his version.
THere is a lot missing and that is why Sonu felt disappointed and said probably he did not have the capability to sing it.
