First of all there is no Comparison between the Legends and Contestant of Indian Idol. As said by Javed Akhtar Do u expect this 19 year old lad to become Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan or Mohammed Rafi, No Way.

The best part is that he attempted to sing the songs of this great singers and technically did well and sang in his own voice.

People should realize that the young singers are trying to sing the songs of this Legends and shud not end up in comparing them with the Legends

What's wrong with karu's version, I am not comparing but Afreen song in young voice , it was very very good.He never made mistakes in sur and taal.

siddh ji first of all all karu fans don't have to explain each and every ones actions ........this is a public forum and anyone can come in and say anything that is immature and with pure ignorance .......just becasue someone says something on their own you are asking explanation from all karu fans ?now that sounds very immature to me .........even mods cannot control what kind of stuff that gets posted many times .....just give your opinion and move on buddy ......i am a karu fan and equally enjoyed all Amey 's performances ....i have been watching him from saregamapa ......

coming to the thread ....it happens many time we compare them with the orijinal singer .....orijinal is a orijinal there is no comparision to it .......like javed sab said he is just19 ......he did his best as new budding singer and we must praise him for that and nothing else😊

I agree with you that there is no comparison between New comers with Rafi Sahib and Nusrat Ali Khanji. When we say Karunya sang very well we mean he dared to attempt legendary songs and succeeded in performing and singing as a contestant in HIS ORIGINAL VOICE. This is the Hallmark of a great singer to maintain his originality. He is at least not trying to copy anybody's voice. I think Karunya attempted all the songs very brilliantly.
