TOTAL WORD COUNT: 2384😉 (Y'day count 2019)😃 Net change +365
Takurs kids taken to task this Thursday. The episode centers around Takur siblings Krishna and Komal: They're busted! Komal is interrogated for hiding a LOOT, while Krishna is nailed for his string of JOOT about working. A bitter-sweet day for Prats. she earns her first paycheck for a published newspaper article, a monetary reward for her little effort. Then she swallows a bitter pill of broken trust at the Adda after she catches Krishna red handed playing carom with T and C.
NOT BUYING IT
RED doesn't buy Krishna's claim that he is on his way to work. They know him too well to believe he'd lift a finger let alone turn up at work day after day. SS taunts and warns him "when you trip and fall deep then we'll know". Seems like bauji's intitution is on to something here.
STRAIGHTENING UP
Naina walks into Adarsh's room. She fusses about the few clothes strewn around the room. She picks up the clothes and heads to the cupboard where a bigger mess awaits her. Like mother like daughter. Prats reacted the same way when she opened Krishna's closet the day after her wedding. Who was hanging on the ceiling filming Nainja's walk to Komal's cupboard?😆 She picks up a few clothes and a wad of cash scatters to the floor.😲 Looks like Komal tried counting her notes and when she hit a wall and went as far as she could go with the counting, she got frustrated and tossed them carelessly in the cupboard. She didn't expect a snooping sasuma to invade her closet without warning.🤔
STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW
Komal demands to know why Naina is snooping in her cupboard while she was away. Naina brushes her question aside and wants an answer to "where did you get this much cash in this house?"😔 Komal retorts "why should I tell you, what's it to you anyways?"😲
SOW THE SEEDS OF SUSPICION
The first and third generation Sax women come running into the room after overhearing the saas-bahu bickering. Dadi stops dead in her tracks "So much money? I've never seen this anywhere before". Really! Guess Dadi has never been to a bank. What was Shamu bringing home for a paycheck? Chump change? That's got to be a mighty exaggeration. Shamu has been a Prof. for over a quarter of a century and she hasn't seen a few thousand rupees? The cash Naina stashed away before Prats's marriage was more than the measley sum in Komal's custody. The Sax women are worried seeing this wad of cash all at once under their roof. They are used to complaining about lack of money no wonder it scares them to even look at this much cash, just poverty thinking.😕
ILL-GOTTEN GAINS
Dadi hurls insults at Komal "she probably got this cash from SS. She's been in this house long enough yet she doesn't think about the humiliation she brings to this family with a new tamasha every day. She must have told them that meals are hard to come by in this house." Komal has had her fill of the insults. She retaliates with her own pointed dart and tells her to go sit outside and collect charity. Go Begging?😲 Ouch! They have yet to learn not to stick their heads in this lioness's mouth. The youngest daughter not one to be left out chimes in with her own questions "talk with respect to Dadi." Look who's talking, the one who needed to hear that just a couple of months ago. "Why don't you end the matter by answering the question posed. If this money didn't come from your bauji (is he still her bauji too?) then tell them where it came from"? Why is she sticking her nose where it doesn't belong, tsk tsk tsk.
ON THE LEVEL
Komal, impatient and vexed hurls an insult at her sis-in-law "you have a runaway mouth these days."Now, now! Out with the truth Komal. She's been this way since day one. Are Adarsh and Komal taking a daily dose of truth serum these days that is sending the rest of the family's head reeling😛. "Let me tell you this money came to me from my husband. What will you do?" Lallantop!👏 👍🏼 Good question! Three generations of Sax women in stunned silence trying to pick their jaws off the floor while she gets back to picking up her wad of cash off the floor after delivering the truth to their faces. Well, well, well! Mr. Moneybags Saxsena is in for a surprise when he returns home today. He's going to have to tell the truth or dare to stand up to his family. After leaving on a high note before breakfast he's got a lot of esplaining to do and it's only going to be easy if it's a wad of lies spilling from his mouth this time.
THANK YOU FOR CALLING!
At at Takur's Chateau, Prats answers the telephone. Her disjointed "Ji, yes, what, Thank you, I'll be right there?" followed by "Dadi, Amma, I'll be right back" and a sprint out of the Niwas without a backward glance has the senior Takurains, one concerned, the other curious at her sudden disappearance. Takurain II mumbles "where has the Masterni rushed off to? Looks like she's got a mountain of gold and if she doesn't go she'll be robbed off it." Prats bolted before they had a chance to put the kabaash on her outing. That will be the day when Takurain II gets to know that Prats is earning money whereas her two slob sons are a sack of lazy bones.😲
PRAISE HER TO THE SKIES
A newspaper editor invites Pratigyaji into his office. It's been a while since anyone called her Pratigyaji. He informs Prats that her article "Educated women at home with shackles on their feet" has made it to the front page and hands her a copy of the paper. She is pleased and proud to see her name Pratigya Krishna Singh printed on the front page of the newspaper. The editor praises her impressive writing and her presentation of the issue to the public. "It's a great idea and your writing has great impact because it brings the entire truth to light before everyone. We are thinking of doing a regular column in the future after the response we've had for this article. You will have complete creative freedom and we trust your vision completely. We've received several congratulatory calls this morning. Few articles get such a response. We request you continue to write more such articles for our newspaper, "Please continue to write as your writing has a lot of power". Hear that Tanths?😉😃👏😲
THANK GOODNESS!
He pays Prats for her published article👍🏼. She gets a tad emotional "Thank you so much. you have no idea how much this money means to me. I will give my first earnings to my husband today".😃 Aww! Sweet!😳 But he is busy playing carom like he is on summer vacation with his cousins? 😛 Mr. Lazybones!😔
REJOICE OVER THE GOOD FORTUNE
Prats calls Krishna to share her thrilling news. But Krishna ignores the call and continues to play carom. He'd rather let her think he is busy at work. She decides to go to devars Tunna and Chandu for help to find Krishna's office. She takes a rickshaw towards the Adda excited about sharing her good news with Krishna. She twirls happily, lends a helping hand to a senior citizen mounting a rickshaw, plays hopscotch with young girls, aids an elderly gentleman across the street and receives their blessings before she arrives at the Adda. Film-vilm ishstyle scene!🤔
CAUGHT RED-HANDED IN MONKEY BUSINESS
Prats's joyous moments makes a crash landing when she arrives at the Adda to see Krishna and the devars engaged in a game of carom. Assuming that devars T and C are crying wolf once too often Krishna ignores their warnings of their bhabhima presence. Krishna finally faces Prats when she stands before him. Her trust in Krishna comes crashing down like an imploding building packed with dynamite. Her silence is enough to stir a well of guilt in Krishna and he turns away unable to look her in the eye. He stutters and stumbles as he tries to salvage the situation with another round of lies. For a man who once hated joot-moots he sure is piling it on like a landfill of garbage. He drags his buddies T and C in to backup his story.
SCALES FALLS FROM HER EYES
Prats is on to his shenanighans and won't have any of it. Krishna is shocked into silence when she explodes "Enough, Krishna! I can't tolerate any more lies. Even after all this you think you are right? You ought to be ashamed. To cover this one lie how many lies are you going to pile on? I never expected that you would play with all of our emotions this way. I never dreamed you would do such a thing." Thank you POPS, we've have been waiting to listen to the mantra in the background like old times. 👏 Prats reminds him "Bauji is sick. KN is refusing to work and you gave hope to everyone that you would go to work and earn a living for the family. Today, you did a shameless and terrible thing, Krishna, How much more do you want to fall in my eyes? I trusted you more than I trusted myself. Today you broke that belief and trust I had in you." A visual response:
AT A LOSS FOR WORDS
Krishna has nothing left to say in his defense. He looks more lost and confused😕 listening to Prats than angry at the moment. Prats has just unleashed her anger 😡on him and if the past is anything to go by it's Prats's anger that brings out the best in him. Krishna like some men is a little boy at heart who needs to be challenged and prodded on to bring out the best in him. It was Prats's anger that made him dig deeper and her challeneges and rejections that allowed him to climb mountains to finally reach the summit successfully when it came to winning her love❤️. By his own admission it's the "katin kaam" that inspires and dares him to live life to the fullest. Let's see which road he takes from the intersection he is at, at the moment. He has to put the broken pieces of the trust in their marriage together again💔😕.
MERA'S MINDFUL MATTERS
Will his fear of venturing into the working world still have a hold over him or will the guilt and shame over the pain and hurt he sees in Prats's eyes now haunt him and finally pierce his soul springing him into action? It's quite possible that he may unleash his anger to cover up his fears and pin the blame on Prats for her lofty expectations of him. He could accuse her of forgetting his limitations due to his lack of education and tide over on that wave for a while. Will it take a few more dips and a crash landing before he wakes up and acts on tearing through his barriers of fear? Or will it be his bruised and shattered ego that takes a beating to see his woman earn a living while he idles away his days listening to his family's taunts that he is no "mard" for he lives off his wife's earnings? Will it really be a surprise if and when he picks up a fight and beats up some poor soul on the streets of Allahabad fueled by comments he may hear arising from discussions of Prats's articles. After all deeprooted behaviors especially negative ones do rear their ugly heads when put to the test no matter how much a person claims to have grown and changed over the years. It's going to take constant awareness to keep himself in check. What happens if Prats is invited to a gala event or a bash thrown on her behalf by her readers, where will Krishna fit in with a popular and successful life? We've seen his insecurities get the better of him on occasion. This is an interesting track with potential for great story telling. If POPS are back on track to their early days of this show we are in for a lallantop ride.
He was offended when Prats offered to earn a living if he won't do it. He was enraged by her words but later dared her to earn without leaving the Niwas. Shee won, he lost on both fronts.
Will he accuse her of hiding things from him? He never bothered to ask her what she was using the stationeries for. Amma saw her writing and crumpled it up. So neither one can say anything to refute her claims of an honest living when the facts come to life. But given they are all unpuds they may claim she's making things up. How will Takurs respond when they get wind of Prats's articles? Will they throw a hissy fit about her selling the Takur family respect on the streets for money? Even if they get an outsider to read it, maybe even Adarsh, the contents could shock them if it hints at the happenings in the Takur household. Prats is going to be in a fix. Unless and until Krishna earns his keep she may have to keep this news under wraps for several reasons.
Preview: SINGING HIS PRAISES: Krishna is confused and looks away as Takurain II does the aarati praising him for making his parents proud while SS nods in agreement with pride. 🤔The rest of the family watches on, Prats face shows no emotions. Will the Takurs wonder about her cool demeanor even after her husband's successful first earnings?😲 If Prats gave her earnings to the Takurs claiming it to be Krishna's isn't she propagating a lie too? For the sake of their marriage Krishna has to have something to hang his hat on, what will it be Prat's lie or something that's yet to spring into the mix? 😲🤔😕
Please add your thoughts and speculate away about where this track is likely to go. 😃👏😉
