Srinath tells Anu's daughter Nivedha his mum is in hospital. Nivedha and Anu visit her (as usual she asks RR and he gives her the slip, otherwise Gayathri will recognise him as the spineless husband of Pallavi!). Anu comes out, sees her mil and Balu and visits his wife as well. Nivedha makes some silly joke about her patti having 2 daughters in law and Patti loses her temper to everyone's surprise, and then apologises.

Shree is questioned by her captors if she really means that she has forgotten Karthi, or if she is just pretending to do so, so that she can be freed. She assures them that she is sincere, so the old woman there (the one who acted as Thyagu's athai in Tirupaavai) calls Prem's house.

Prem receives the call, and relays the message to his father. Adhi has been observing his dad from behind a tree, sees this and follows Prem to a house, where he is meeting with some people. Adhi barges into the house (idhu ellam sarva sagajam in these serials - doors left open, people entering without knocking, answering other people's phones - I don't know if all serials do this, or is it only Tamil serials, to make it look like our people lack manners? Directors, please note) Of course, Shree is not there, but he manages to make those people doubt Prem, and leaves. They kick Prem out.

Prem's dad goes to see Shree, he tells her that once she forgets Karthi, he will get her married to Prem. She tells him that she will never believe this of Prem, and reiterates that she will only marry Karthi, she said she had forgotten him just to find out who her captor is.

Adhi tells Shruti that he suspects Prem and of his unsuccessful attempt to follow him and find Shree. Dad comes in and screams as usual. To add fuel to the fire, his friend comes in to tell him that his son is getting married and to give him the invitation. This was the guy who came to see Shruti, and SM screams at him, until finally Shruti steps in and says that had it been the other way around and she didn't like him, and she had married him just because he forced her to, wouldn't her marriage have been a disaster, and would he have wished it on her? Finally he is forced to face the facts, and he accepts the invitation grudgingly. Do such rude boors have any success in life?

Prem's house - mom doesn't eat, Prem's dad assures her that he will get married soon, so she needn't worry.

RR's car breaks down somewhere. Shree is looking out of the window, sees him, tries to attract his attention by calling out, but the woman in that house sees her and pushes her away from the window. RR looks up, sees a strange person, she says she was on the phone and talking loudly, so he goes away.

Karthi is being held somewhere by some people. He too tries to find out who is holding him captive. There is some kind of puja going on there, and he is also forced to take part and take the prasadam. The priest sees him and blesses him (I think this priest will finally be the person to notify the police, at least I hope so).

AAR goes to the store, and guess who else comes there? RR, with another woman called Jenny, and they do all this konjifying as if they are husband and wife. AAR hides and watches them. As they leave the store, SM sees them, comes up and screams away as usual without letting them get a word in. AAR is watching all this. After SM leaves, Jenny tells RR, Let us go to our house. (One more wifey for RR?)

AAR goes home, is all confused, Ganesh wants to know why, and as usual, supports RR and says SM behaved badly, screaming in public. AAR says she will prove that RR is lying, calls Anu, but Anu says that RR has already returned from Bangalore. Now AAR is even more confused, and Ganesh says it proves his point.

SM goes home, screams at his family and says he caught RR red-handed with another woman and of course, orders Adhi to have nothing more to do with Nivedha.

RR takes this Jenny to her house, turns out she is not his wife and talks to her mother, who promises to pray for his families. Jenny says she will talk to both Anu and Palli and explain that he was forced to marry Palli because he couldn't say No to her father, but RR says that will cause a pralayam.

AAR calls Pallu and they meet. As usual, AAR talks about seeing Anu's husband with another woman, but not once does she mention his name, and as usual, Palli says they must try to find the woman and tongue pull pannara madiri ask her some questions!

Karthi finds a phone in his room, calls home (these kidnappers are utter idiots, leaving a phone and its cord in the room, and Karthi is an even bigger idiot, not waiting for them to go to sleep before making his call!), talks to RR, but the captor comes in and catches him on the phone and cuts the call. RR goes to the police, tells the Inspector about the call, gives him the number and also tells him that it was Prem who didn't want Shree and Karthi to get married. I must have missed something, how did RR come to know about Prem's interest in Shree?

Palli insists that Shree must have kidnapped Karthi! How much more absurd can she get?

The police Inspector comes to Prem's house and tells Prem's father that he wants to ask Prem some questions about Karthi and Shree's disappearance. He says they have info that Karthi has been kidnapped and he called his father from that house. Prem's dad looks like a SBT. Prem says that he doesn't know anything, but the Inspector tells him that he wants Prem to come up with info within 24 hours. Prem's father is concerned. The deaf Kannayiram has been watching all this.

Anu is buying groceries and Jennifer bumps into her. Anu sings her husband's praises as always, and Jenny says she will come and talk to her. She asks why Santhosh is looking for work elsewhere instead of in RR's firm.

Vasanthi (Adhi's mom) comes to Rukku's house to talk about RR, his encounter with SM, and the second wife. Rukku says she knows about it, Ganesh says that the woman may be just a good friend and RR is such a good man (his usual lines). Incidentally, I have a question here - Rukku says her daughter is living in veLiyoor and studying, I thought she had already finished her studies and wanted to take up a job in Madras. I think the script writers have forgotten what happened earlier. Vasanthi leaves after listening to Ganesh.

Prem's mother returns home from the market and someone snatches her chain by saying that she has dropped a Rs. 1000 note on the ground. She didn't take a thousand note with her, but bends to pick it up and he takes the chain. She raises a hue and cry, the police come, and she admits that the money was not hers in the first place. They take her to the police station to file a complaint.

RR goes to Palli's house, the usual crying goes on, finally Palli asks him to advertise again with Karthi's photo. RR says that he suspects Prem of the kidnapping, but when has Palli ever listened to him?

The guy takes the chain to her husband and asks for Rs. 32000 for the chain, since it weighs 5 pavun. Sivaraman gives him Rs. 5000, and says he will give the rest the next day. Shree overhears a part of this conversation but before she can hear more, the woman comes in, so she has to go back to her couch.

Prem's mother is worrying about the loss of her chain, her husband comes in and gives her a present of a chain, she is surprised that he has found the chain, he is wondering what it is all about, she explains about the guy snatching the chain, so he samaalichufies by saying that the police Inspector called him and gave it to him. Inwardly, he is furious that he has now paid Rs. 5000 to get back his own chain. I was wishing that the Inspector would call her and check with her, and then this she will know about her husband;s character.

RR and Jenny are talking. Rukku calls and Jenny answers (now why does she answer his cell phone? Avvalavu close? Doesn't sound right to me.) Rukku asks for RR, asks him who picked up the phone, he explains that it is one of his staff. Ganesh has to go to his office the next day. Ganesh tries to calm down a furious Rukku by saying that Anu is happy, anyway.

Sivaraman takes out his anger on the guy who snatched the chain from his wife, and threatens to finish him off if he doesn't give him Rs. 6000 back.The women in that house try to convince Shree to agree to marry Prem, but she refuses.

Ganesh comes to RR's office, meets Jenny there, there is some mutual admiration of Jenny praising RR, Ganesh thanking Jenny, RR saying the credit goes to Jenny, and so on.

Sivaraman comes to the house where Shree is being held - incidentally, in the scene when RR's car broke down in front of that house, it was in a street with houses on both sides of the street, now it is in a street with nothing in front and with just a kucha road - I guess the director couldn't get the same house again. Once again, he asks Shree to agree to marry Prem, again she refuses, he leaves with a threat.

Gayathri and her son at the temple to pray for Shree's return. Paati has also come there and asks how she is doing. Right then, Palli also comes to the same temple. Shreenath sees her, she sees them talking to Paati, Gayathri and Shreenath leave and Paati also leaves. As she passes Palli, she refuses to talk to her and glares at her. Palli is convinced that Gayathri has told Paati something about her and she tells Anu about this. Anu says she will explain to Paati and asks Palli to take her to that lady's house - she doesn't know it is her MIL - but Palli says she will do it another day.

Karthik mechanic is going around passing out photos of Karthi and Shreenidhi, asking for info if anyone sees them. The guy who snatched the chain has seen Shree and he is one of the people whom MK approaches, but he doesn't say anything. In the meantime, the priest who did the puja at the house where Karthi is being held, has now come to see MK. SR takes him inside, MK explains that he wants to do a puja so that someone who is missing can be found, the priest praises his nalla manasu, says to do a Kaala bhairava puja next week and asks for the photo of the missing person, but MK says he doesn't have any photos left with him and he will give him one as soon as he gets more copies made.

Anu comes to Rukku's house, asks why Rukku and Ganesh still haven't settled their problem on whether a certain person is good or not (RR), and tells them not to bother about third persons. Rukku thinks to herself that Anu is so trusting.

Karthi asks his captors who this Ayya is whose orders they take, and they refuse to tell him. They want him to attend the puja, he refuses, they threaten, so he goes with them. The priest asks him why he has come at the start of the puja, so he gets a good look at Karthi. He blesses Karthi, saying that all his troubles will soon be over - how about our problems? Will this show move quickly or will it continue to move at a snail's pace?

The Inspector has traced the number from where Karthi made his call, calls the owner of that house, but he is in Kodai and there is nobody in that house. RR comes there, is informed about this.

Mechanic Karthik and SR come to Palli's house, talk to RR and tell him about the puja that MK is going to perform to get Karthi back. RR offers to pay for the puja but MK declines. Everyone praises MK's nalla manasu.

Deva, the chain snatcher for Sivaraman, sees a woman walking on the street, tries to snatch her chain, but she shouts and attracts the attention of two policemen, who give chase to Deva. Deva escapes (what more do we expect?) even though he is on foot and the policemen are on a motorbike (fine testimony to the state of the police department in TN).

Shree makes friends with Ramya and asks her for help in escaping. Ramya says she feels sorry for her but is helpless, because Sivaraman will finish her off when he finds out that she helped Shree to escape. Sivaraman comes in and once again tries to bully Shree into marrying Prem, and Shree refuses again. She also finds out that Prem does not know about Sivaraman being the one to kidnap her.

Deva comes to that house, Sivaraman threatens to finish him off if he doesn't come up with the money somehow. Shree is listening to all this, attracts Deva's attention when he is leaving and tells him her story and asks him to call her parents. He climbs up and stands outside her window (and nobody on the streets notices all this!) and talks to her. She recognizes him as the one who snatched the chain, he tells her that he does this snatching for a living and gives it to Sivaraman, is now in trouble because he snatched Mrs. S's chain. He says Sivaraman has threatened to kill him, Shree gives him her chain and tells him to sell it and give the money to Sivaraman. He says he will come up with a plan to rescue her and leaves.

Sivaraman and Kannayiram in the park, where they see a kiLi josiyar who also sees jadagams. The kiLi josiyar tells his kiLi to pick a card for Sivaraman, it picks a card of the Assembly building, the josiyar says he will soon be taken to the Assembly House in a car with sirens (oru veLai police car-aa irukalaam!). Then he sees Prem's jadagam, and says he will get married soon, in an avasara thirumaNam, so Sivaraman is pleased.

On the way back, Sivaraman and KaNNayiram see Deva. Sivaraman makes KaNNayiram take out the chain from Deva's pocket and takes it for himself. Deva says he has given up this stealing business for good and leaves.

Adhi calls Nivedha and asks her out for a movie. She says No, Anu comes there, he talks in a girlish voice and tells Anu that he wants to take Nivedha out to a religious movie. Anu agrees and tells Nivedha that she approves of the movie and to go.

Rukku and Ganesh drop in on Anu on their way to Bangalore. Anu shares her concern about Santhosh and Rukku and Ganesh promise to help out. Anu says she will make lunch for them, when RR walks in. Rukku wants to know why he is working this early and Nivedha says that he is returning home after two days. RR has actually come in with Jenny, but she got a call as she was getting down from the car, so she stepped outside the gates to talk to her Paati (adhenna avvaLavu poor reception that she has to go outside the gates to talk? Nivedha just took a call inside the house and that was okay.) Rukku is shocked to know that RR is just returning after two days! RR says that there is a file that Ganesh has to take with him.

RR is wondering why Rukku seems so distracted. Anu gives them their lunch and they leave but they do not see Jenny outside the gates, because right then, she turns her back to them and talks. On the way, they are arguing as usual about RR, and Ganesh is saying that RR is another Sriraman.

Jenny goes inside, talks to RR and Anu, RR says that Ganesh has just left, and realizes that Ganesh did not take the file. He is worried, what do we do? and Jenny tells him to call Ganesh and ask him to return (couldn't he figure this out by himself? Any normal person with a modicum of intelligence could figure that out). He calls Ganesh and asks him to return. They return, but Ganesh gets a call from the US just as they enter Anu's house, so Rukku goes in, alone while Ganesh talks outside (this is so strange, their need to talk from outside. They need a different Cell phone provider with better coverage!

Rukku is shocked to see Jenny sitting there on the couch beside RR (when there are two other chairs available) and talking and laughing with him. She keeps thinking that they are cheating Anu, who is so naive, and actually introduces Jenny as the one who got Ganesh the project, then Jenny says the credit goes to RR, as always, and RR gives the entire credit to Jenny. What I cannot understand is how RR says that Jenny is a romba mukkiyamaana person in his company. As far as I know, people usually introduce their office staff as "She is the Manager, or She is my PA, or She is in charge of Projects or HR, this is a very strange and unprofessional introduction. Rukku leaves with the file.

Ganesh is winding up his call with his friend and tells Rukku that his friend has problems in his office with "staffs" (I am yet to hear that the word "staff" is singular and there is a plural called "staffs", and I have been in this country for the last 30 years! The correct term would be "members of staff" or "staff members" - script writers, please note!) Rukku is still steaming and she tells Ganesh about it in the car about how RR is so brazen about his cheating and is passing off his second wife as an office employee.

When Ganesh finds out that the person Rukku is referring to is Jenny, he tells her that Jenny is not RR's second wife, because he has seen her in the office with RR and Sundu (and how does that prove Ganesh's point? I am still puzzling that one out) and tells Rukku that she is wasting her time with her doubts and suspicions.

Paati with Meenakshi in the hospital, the doctor says that Meenakshi is much better now, so paati asks if she can walk around the hospital with Meenakshi and he says Yes. Paati and Meenakshi are walking when Balu comes in, sees them and as they are talking, Palli also enters the hospital. Paati sees her, tells Balu to take Meenakshi and slips away. Palli comes in and talks to Balu and they go to Meenakshi's room, where she goes to sleep (so much for the walk!). Palli tells Balu about the lady she met in the hospital last time she came here, who returned her purse to her, and who suggested the lemon puja at the temple, but didn't talk to her when she saw her in the temple. She says that Gayathri must have said something about her, and Balu tries to tell her that Gayathri is not like that, but Palli doesn't believe in listening to anyone. She wants to meet the paati, so she leaves and looks for Paati in the hospital. Paati sees her, slips away and goes back to Meenakshi's room, where she tells Balu that she knows about Palli. He sings that same song about Palli that she is not a homebreaker and paati will accept her one day, and Paati sings her song too that only Anu is her marumagaL, not Palli.
