I LOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HER😛😛..ok, now tellychakkar says that this show is a weekly....so perhaps its not replacing JJKn..but if its a weekly, where will sony fit in😕😕..anyways, i feel that its replacing jjkn as even CID special bureau is over and they are repeatign old episodes and JJKN too is in its last leg......so perhaps this is the show replacing😛

Donning a new hat: Aashka Goradia

Aashka Goradia will play Kinnari, Sudhanshu Pandey's love interest in Fireworks' forthcoming show (yet untitled) on Sony Entertainment Television. She started shooting for the same, yesterday.

Talking to HiTLIST, Yash Patnaik, supervising producer of Fireworks, revealed, "We have finalised Aashka. We wanted a dusky complexioned good-looking girl who looks independent. Aashka fitted the role perfectly."

Aashka: First choice

This will not be Aashka's first experience with Fireworks. "She did Achanak 37 Saal Baad for us, much before she did Kkusum for Balaji. Thereafter, she has always kept in touch. She was out first choice. We know her capabilities as an actor, and we did not feel the need to do any audition test with her. Didn't she do a grand job as Kumud in Kkusum?"

When contacted, Aashka said, "I play someone who waits for Sudhanshu for a very long time. When he does not turn up, I get married to someone else. Later, he returns. At that point of time, I am having some problems in my life and I turn to him for help."

Goradia will sport a very glamorous look in Kinnari's portrayal. Patnaik informs that she will don sarees with halter necks, plus a lot of Western outfits as well. "I can carry off any outfit. I am comfortable," said Goradia.

Last, Aashka Goradia was seen in Optimystix's Jet Set Go, where she was replaced by Shama Sikandar as the format demanded a change in host

Aashka Goradia: moving greener pastures??

After being shown the door in Star One's travel reality show Jet Set Go, the lady has bagged the lead role in Fireworks' soon to be aired show on Sony tentatively titled, Akela.

"Aashka is a fine actor and in a way, we gave her, her first break with Sony's Achanak - 37 saal baad and after that she was signed on in Kkusum (in which she played Kumud). She'll play Sudhanshu Pandey's love interest in Akela," says supervising producer Yash Patnaik.

Akela which will be on air in June is an one hour weekly that will be telecast at primetime. It will be directed by B P Singh himself.

The Fireworks team will start shooting for the show from today. The cast includes veterans like Pankaj Dheer and actors like Sumeet Raghavan and Sudhanshu Pandey.

The show is not an out and out thriller, but it has some supernatural elements in it. The makers promise that the show's one of its kind and is sure to keep the audience glued to their television sets!

Did you know?

Aashka also had a narrow escape when her car had a head-on collision with a trailer, on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, near Valsad, on 3 February 2006. The accident occurred when three of her car tyres burst, resulting in the vehicle skidding off the road. Aashka sustained multiple fractures on her left arm, and needed several stitches in her mouth. She was on her way to hometown Ahmedabad. The actor had not only attended the launch of Jet Set Go in a cast, but had also shot with the same.
