Master Marzi brings alive the woman in tomboy SONALI!
This week on Lux DID Doubles, it was Grandmaster Mithun Da's idea to have couples swap their mentors such that each contestant gets the experience of training under a master other than their own!
With this arrangement, we had Sonali and Cornell from Geeta Ma's team being trained by Master Marzi Pestonji this week.The act Marzi choreographed for the duo was inspired by the Bachata style of dancing, known for its pronounced, sensuous hip swaying. All the mentors as well Mithun Da were highly impressed by both Cornell and Sonali as they showed crackling chemistry on stage.
Master Marzi Pestonji said, "The movement of the hips is very important because that's the soul of Bachata. Given her boisterous ways, initially, I wasn't so sure if Sonali could carry it off but she's made me really proud today."
Dada asked Sonali about her biggest learning from Marzi and she did not bat an eyelid before replying, "From a tomboy, Marzi Sir's turned me into a woman." The song 'Man! You make me feel like a woman!' comes running to our mouth ...!
