This is the first time that I have watched JDJ. I thought it was a dancing competition and the best dancers would win. Now I am reading that the winners are based on which celebrities with no prior dance experience improve the most. If that is the case than why have celebrities who have prior dance experience as contestants at all?

Can someone explain my confusion??

@bold: That's the million dollar question, yaar😆😆

There are varying views about what the concept of this show is.....if we go by the basic title, "Dancing with the Stars", then that's about it......it's basically a dance competition b/w celebrities from various fields....acting, dancing, sports etc.....it doesn't say anything about prior dance experience being a criteria.

But if we go by the history of winners in this competition, usually the "non-dancer" celebrity who shows improvement over the course of the season is the won that ends up winning.

Every season there is one contestant who is the most deserving but is left empty handed in the end.....season one, it was Shweta Salve....season two, it was Sandhya Mridul.....and the cycle continues....

I sometimes wonder if by this point, the celebrities with prior dance experience also just resign themselves to these expected results ultimately.....lol......time and again, this is how it plays out.....the producers of the show seem to enjoy bringing such celebrities on board to raise the quality of the dance acts on the show, maybe......but don't reward them for it ultimately with the big prize....I guess they are expected to be happy with all the praise and scores😆

What the show is all about is the million dollar question.....not the prize money.

Just have to say JDJ has definitely lost faith of millions of viewers.

Isn't it kind of little late to go over the rules of JDJ?

Or one hand washes the other... the producers bring on big celebrities with huge paychecks so the winnings don't factor into the celebrities decision to be a part of JDJ. Also.. its win win for the producers and the celebrities.. the celebrities get a chance to showcase to a new audience and increase their fan base while the producers get new viewers like me due to the celebrities...
I really did enjoy the show and if the producers get celebrities I like again.. I'll be back 😊
