I chose Vijay of Rishtey-Highway. Of course Abhijeet is my favourite character that Aditya sir has played....but this poll specifically mentions 'apart from Abhijeet'.
Vijay showed us an entirely different side of Aditya sir's acting. He was playing the role of a guy who kidnaps and sells girls for a living. He showed the transformation of Vijay into a kind-hearted guy falling in love with a girl whom he had kidnapped.
When you see Vijay for the first time, lighting a beedi and questioning the girl, you just hate the character. But then comes that scene where she escapes into the forest, gets scared and comes back...he gives her a look, turns around and goes to sleep. I don't know why...I just loved that scene. Then he listens to her chitter-chatter without a word.
Then comes the scene in the forest where she puts a hand on her shoulder....he gives a strange look, as if saying 'what's happening to me???? Vijay control yourself'. 😆
After that, the scene where she tells him about her wicked uncle. She starts crying and he hugs her and comforts her saying 'chup ho jaa'.Not something you would expect from a kidnapper.
There's the scene in the truck after that...just before starting his truck, he puts off the light and from his expression we can make out what was going on in his mind. Maybe when she talked to him he realised how bad his own profession was and how he was traumatising girls by kidnapping and selling them. You could see a trace of regret at what he was doing for a livelihood.
He might have decided to give up his 'job' right then...but wanted to send back Veera safely and then turn over a new leaf. He probably fell in love with her...more so for making him realise this.
There's so much I can say about Vijay...I just loved that character in the end. And hats off to Aditya sir for giving us Vijay.
