It's all about the screen presence, Neetz. You might not like Gautam, but you certainly won't be able to ignore him everytime he's on screen. He catches attention instantly, and then MiYa were so adorable together, if you watch the bedroom scene, the dance scene, and the hug scene - their chemistry were natural and effortless. And when you give us someone as dull as Shankar, who is so easy to ignore, and nothing absolutely clicks about him, then yeah, you're bound to get dissapointed. :/ A levelheaded, mature and sensible guy would have been awesome .. But .. He also needs to click with us .. and he needs to have a good presence on screen to match up to Priya Wal.
Yep! It definitely is! Gautam had a strong screen presence and I loved him! I really wanted Shaurya to develop! MiYa chemistry was charming and interesting and more importantly, developing!! It's like it's just been cut short! At least they should've ended it gradually and decently, na! And yes, of course, clicking! That's when the casting comes to play! Priya Wal is an actor par excellence! She needs someone who can match her. To be frank, I found even Gautam a little weak in front of her, but, the key word being only 'a little'. It could be ignored and we could still enjoy. But Shanky? Nah! He is far too weak as an actor in front of Priya as well as a character in front of Misha.
And yes, speaking of disappointments, I hate how PW is being used as a comic filler these days! I understand that Sid-Panchi and Sid-Abhay story is developing, so she cannot really be given proper space, and I'm cool with it, really! But all this "Shankar is a serial killer" is so uncalled for!! It's making Misha's character wobble because she is not someone like that!
