Shaurya: A different take!

OK, so Shaurya is gay. Big deal. Apart from Misha's heart being slightly broken, not a huge problem. In fact, knowing Misha, she will take it in her stride pretty well. I'm wondering if EK or whoever calls the shots on these things has the guts to make a statement here. Finally have a gay character on TV that is not a effeminate cartoonish creature to be laughed at, but a serious character who is oriented differently. Shaurya has already been shown to be a hot dude, and not at all girly, he's extremely manly, in fact😉!

I'm well aware that being gay, he is lost to us girls forever (and what a waste that is😉😉!) but lets think past that for a minute. I think there is potential here to do something powerful, if they choose to. If they choose to make a mockery out of it, as is the norm, well...that is not new. I don't know how these things pan out in the world of television, but I for one am rooting for a change. Your thoughts?

A really good topic. My first reaction was like What! But like you said it wont effect the storyline much. And hence im not so bothered. coming to your topic i really wish they would show some thing like that. But having seen previous EK shows i doubt such a bold step would be taken. I guess the main reason to do this was to finish off Shaw's track. But still hoping something better is done rather than making fun of it as always.

I liked MiYa too. So, slightly disappointed myself! Besides, all that hotness going to waste...!

In a different way..I guess I meant either a serious gay relationship..not some Dostana type nonsense, or even better, a story in which him being gay is peripheral to the issue. I mean, its there, and it exists, but its not the main story. The main story is say, (for example) him being a werewolf or some such thing.

However, I seriously doubt they would be able to pull this off, even if they wanted to. So, hopes are low.

Thanks! I dislike the constant portrayal of gay men as effeminate. Its annoying and a stereotype and untrue in many cases. Like you said, I don't think they would be so bold as to do that. I was just thinking out loud. Are they really finishing off Shaw's track? Too bad. I don't think Shankar has caught my attention so far, at all!

Like you said, Abhiya and Sid-Panchi (Si-anchi?) are our only hope for the romantic stuff. Abhiya atleast, never disappoint. As for Shanaya...creepy chick to be hitting on her students😲! And Abhay..usko toh vunnn tight slap ki zaroorat hai..from Piya. For playing goti with her emotions like that. Silly fellow...just tell her the truth dude!
