I like that avni wants to help her family after marriage but I think its little unfair to her future in laws ….. she should not give all of her money to her family, maybe she should split the money in half and help both of the families …… if her future in-laws were rich or her husband was gar jamai then it would have been ok for her to help her family …. Frankly I don't think she is ready for marriage, she wants to do so much for her family and after marriage it would make it hard for her to do that ….. but if the groom side agrees with her condition then they should not object when she gives the money to her family …..

i do like avni .... i think she is great daughter no doubts about that .... but i just find the money thing little tricky and i see that many of u guys respect her for that and i do too but i don't support her 100% on helping her family ..... i think she should not get marry yet .....

I agree its a tricky situation...
first of all her decision actually was, to not get married till one of her siblings became financially independent to support the family... but just out of respect for her mother's emotions she agreed, but put forth her conditions....

I too feel to some extent you are right ...about giving all the money to her maayka... what if she was living alone with her husband and his salary alone was not enough to run the house she wud have had to contribute some amount...
and lots of situations can arise even in her married life ...where in certain situations she might have to contribute at the inlaws where she stays....as they also become a part of her family

thats why her decision to wait was perfect... but due to mother's pressure she has taken whatever she felt was the right decision ... and thankfully she is very strong, as to clearly state her situation/demands right at the begining itself ...now, its upto the guy who marries her, to decide whether he agrees or not....

I personally think that she should support her family until the two other daughters get a job. But they are gonna get married too once so I think the boy in the family should find a job. He sits their and does nothing!

thanks for ur pt of view. no doubt avni is a responsible duagther and a caring sister. she has so many dreams for her family.
we may blame bhaskar for his cleverness but we have forgoten that even bhaskar is from a lower middle class family n is soul breadwiner. In such a case we cant blame him (fully) if he wants his to be wife to share her salary. we have seen mny families where both the partners fend for themselves n their family oweing to the financial condition.
this way bhaskar is also true to some extent. as far as avni is concerned she should give a certain part of her salary to her ayi n keep the rest of it with her in laws.
