Taylor Lautner to Star in Hot Action Movie

Taylor Lautner, Twilight werewolf, is teaming with Michael Bay, Transformer and I Am Number Four director, in a hot new movie project, so far untitled. The package—said to be a series of movies—is being shopped around to producers, and they describe it as Mr. and Mrs. Smith meet Wanted!, says Just Jared Jr. If Taylor Lautner, 19, is Mr. Smith, who is the missus? So far the whole thing is wrapped in secrecy, but sources predict it will be big, loud, and action-packed.

Studios have begun bidding. Lautner, who is on a Twilight break right now, has already been putting his instant fame to good use. Abduction will be released in September, two months ahead of the second-to-last Twilight installment.

Can you see Taylor Lautner as Stretch Armstrong? Apparently producers can, as that project is in the works, along with another unnamed spy flick. But this new deal could keep his career hot for years to come, since "You don't get any more blockbuster than Michael Bay", saysLike It I Do. Working with Bay could be a huge move. Or the whole spy-on-spy series thing could make the actor hopelessly typecast, before he's out of his teens. Whichever, but show biz is nothing if not unpredictable. And at least he'll shed the fur and fangs.
