Yeah...It is the Hindi remake of "Kolangal" but with little difference...
I don't think here the lead girl has any step-brother...In Tamil version, she didn't have own brother but a step brother but here she has own brother but not step-brother...

We have many serials with North Indian themes, and dialects. It would have been a good thing, if this was shown as a South Indian theme, and would have interested a lot of South Indians in our cosmopolitan cities in India. Can the producers take note? Many South Indian artistes portray North Indian roles, and why can't the Channel owners show South Indian plots, is it because they think they do not speak Hindi. This is a good way to popularize Hindi. Put a smattering of local words, as they do in Gujerati plots, but not a mockery of their accents, and this will bind our country with a strong "dhor" - rope of unity.

yes it is kolangal. But i think the step brother will be introdused later as it happened in kolangal.Because adi(step-brother) character was equal to that of the lead avni.and that was thae main track of kolangal

Even in the tamil version she has own brother and his name is the same 'Manu'... The main story is between avani and her step brother adi(Tamil Version name).... But I didn't understand who is playing role of tulkapian(Tamil Version) as this character will be there with avani throughout the struggle b/w avani and her step brother

The producers might have made any agreement with the original makers, and adapted it to the Maharashtrian viewers. Is there any shortage of playwrights, in Mumbai?

In the Tamil version that is Kolangal she did have 3 siblings a brother and 2 sisters just as in Dor and she has a step brother and the truth will surface out later that her father left them and got married again for money and good biz..the only difference here is that Maskare's role in Tamil was very good he always supported the female lead and never actually wanted to marry her or loved her.
