A newly wed bride stood at the airport entrance, waving all her family members goodbye (eternally cursing her faith!!). She had potentially masked her feelings with a plastic smile. No one could possibly be aware of the turmoiled state, they had put her in.
She wore a red designed churidaar with her arms covered with maroon bangles & slight makeup on her face. Her pretty face soon formed the center of attraction of the airport. Along side her stood her husband, who was no less.
He wore a white transparent shirt with a classic pair of denims, displaying his perfect abs and packs. His sleeves was wrapped up, displaying his muscular arms. His jet black silky hair was spiked up, making the guy look drool-worthy hotter. The blue eyes seemed equally nervous as hers, yet he had a genuine smile on his face.
If she was Riddhima Malik, he was Dr. Armaan Malik, the new perfectly wed couple. Everything around them was perfect. They had just shared a perfect wedding, and were now heading for their to-be perfect honeymoon. There was just one small little problem in this epitome of perfection ...they were complete strangers!! Now the perfect wedding sounded insane, dint it?
Relatives like any normal family dint stay back in throwing their advices ,as if they needed all of it! All of Riddhima's aunts and cousins had arrived to drop them at the airport. The huge gang of relatives encircled the poor couple-admiring their beauty, telling them what do to in their honeymoon and what not to do there (awkward!!). This made Riddhima's embarrassment level rise even higher, with every passing minute, such that she dint dare to even look up at her husband. (Dammit, how am I suppose to even face him now?!)
The entire wedding week had been hectic for both of them. Though they were "husband & wife", they had hardly spoken to each other after the wedding, adding on to the perfection again!!
"Armaan, take good care of her." Anjali gave Riddhima a hug and smiled at Armaan.
"Riddhima beta.." Padma had tears in her eyes. Riddhima looked at Padma and she felt her heart being squeezed. This was the first time Padma was leaving her daughter, she felt miserable!
Riddhima ran and hugged Padma, as she felt newly fresh tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Ma..." she sobbed.
"beta, apna khayal rakhna. Armaan ka bhi khayal rakhna.." Padma separated from her and began throwing her 'motherly advices' immediately.
Riddhima had no choice but to nod silently.
"Armaan beta, agar isse koi galti ho jaaye..please isse maaf kar dena." Padma put her arms around Riddhima's shoulder, looking at Armaan.
"Maa aap chinta mat kijiye..aisa kuch nahi hoga." Armaan smiled confidently, reassuring Padma. Inside, he himself had no idea of what would happen..how would it all be...how will his 'married life' turn out to be.
"Padma, Armaan aur Riddhima dono samajhdaar hai, apna khayal rakhenge. Hai na Riddhima?" Riddhima looked up to see her Shashank standing there. She had least expected her dad to show up. Shashank, being the topmost doctor of the country, was busy in an emergency surgery, which kept him from waving her final goodbyes.
Shashanks unexpected arrival brought more and more tears in Riddhima's eyes. Riddhima hugged her father tight.
"Papa..Mujhe laga..I won't be able to see you..." Riddhima sobbed and spoke at regular intervals. Shashank smiled and kissed her daughters forehead.
"It is an important day for my bachcha, how can I not come?" Shashank put on his fatherly smile.
"Papa..I love you.." Riddhima hugged him tight.
"I love you too, beta" Shashank hugged her back.
"Armaan.." Armaan's focus shifted from the father-daughter scene to Shashank's hard expressions, while Shashank looked at his son-in-law.
"Armaan..Please do take good care of her. She has never been on her own." Shashank gave Armaan his dreadful 'fatherly' look.
"Yes sir." Armaan folded his hands, backwards and looked down.
"Flight to Singapore, is ready for security check." Armaan and Riddhima looked at the flight chart and sighed. It was time to go. Riddhima looked down, while Armaan's eyeballs set on his wifes face.
Giving her a check, Armaan picked up their single suitcase and headed inside the airport, followed by Riddhima..
Two total strangers...they weren't suppose to meet, but they did. Faith put them together, as Riddhima Gupta turned into Riddhima Armaan Malik.. What did this newly built relationship have in store for the two? Will the institution of arranged marriage work for them?
Did Riddhima Gupta make the correct choice by marrying someone without 'love'?
