Meet Geet the bubbly viviacious, fullof life character from STAR Plus' new show Love U Zindagi. She lives life kingsize and on her own terms and preaches thesame to one and all.

STAR Plus' new show Love U Zindagi is based on Geet from the super hit Imtiaz Ali film Jab We Met starring Kareena Kapoor.

Were you apprehensive about taking on a role that was already sopopular?
I didn't think of the project in that manner when I took it on. Sure, everyone Imeet has questioned me about the popularity of the film and Kareena'scharacter, but I don't feel any pressure or competition as I am not competingwith Kareena. I am simply thrilled to have bagged this opportunity. I think Iam privileged to be working with STAR Plusand Imitaz Ali.

Is there a conscious effort not tocopy Kareena Kapoor?
Though Geet is a character from Jab We Met, our show is televised, so there is no needand no scope to copy Kareena's acting style. I am sure STAR Plus and Imitaz Alimust have seen to it before signing me on and I know I can deliver. Moreover, Idon't think the audiences are expecting another Kareena lookalike or evensimilar acting style in this TV show. There is no pressure to behave like heror dress like her at all.

Do you identify with Geet's character?
I identify a lot with Geet as we are both similar in many ways. I am totally bindaas and daring. Being full of life with a bold attitude I think I am Dabangg!! [laughs]. I never get bogged down by life or problems that come my way. I can do anything and everything, I believe. Even when things aren't going my way, I like to think I have a knack for handling situations and people to suit my needs without harming anyone's feelings.

What sets Geet apart from otherserials and their characters?
LUZ is like a breath of fresh air in a landscape that is full of kitchen politics. Despite drama being an integral element ofthe show what sets it apart is its freshness, relatable characters and loads offun …

Did you get any advice or briefingfrom creator of Geet- Imtiaz Ali for this character?
Imitaz told me to be as natural as possible. He said that acting, being bubbly, or charming shouldn't seem forced. They chose me as I am a vivacious person so I don't have to try hard at being a cheerful person. Healso said not to copy anyone.

What is Geet most passionate about…
Life

Your idea of romance is…
I have a weakness for sher-shayari. If a guy serenades me, looking into my eyes,feeling the emotion of the song - I would be floored. My ideal date would be a moonlit dinner on the beach and my guy getting super romantic and proposing time. The sound of the waves and ambiance would be just perfect.

Your dream man should be …
Very romantic for sure. As I am 5' 8", I would want him to be taller. He should havea good sense of humour… someone like Shah Rukh Khan.

Which songs do you love shaking aleg to?
Ilike listening to the latest tracks but one of my favourites these days is a Punjabi song, Main Tenu Samjhavan Kiby Rahet Fateh Ali Khan.

What is the one mantra thatyou completely swear by?
Youshould love your self and your life. Live it to the fullest like me and totallylove your zindagi.

If you thought Geet, in STAR Plus' new show Love U Zindagi, will have a smooth sailing trip to her dream destination Mumbai- think again.

In the upcoming episodes this weekend, Geet's family agrees to send her to Mumbai but when they learn about her best friend Manju's boyfriend and the story behind that, they begin to rethink their decision. Geet's family, especially Daarji, isn't happy with the circumstances and in a shocking development, Daarji declares that Geet won't go to Mumbai ever. He doesn't want her to ruin their family's name and honour. Geet's mother, who was really upset about Geet going to Mumbai, supports Daarji.

Geet aka Pavitra Punia isn't too hassled about Daarji's decision though. Why we ask her and she replies, "I am very confident of myself and I know Daarji might have objections and even some family members too but they all love me and want what is best for me. I hope I can reason with them."

Will Geet finally be able to leave for Mumbai and fulfill her ambition or will she face more hurdles on the way to her dream?
