The Tormented Tai

I don't know what possessed me to do it...I really don't...but I have decided to start analyzing our toxic Kooky Tai--or Kala Tai. How? Will through the letters she sends me, of course! And before you say it takes one to know one, let me tell you that the correspondence is a one way thing. I don't write back to that crazy...oh, no...only she sends me her letters--through Suds when he comes over for our afternoon tea time.

Here is her latest letter...please don't confuse yourself too much with it...and let me know what you think of the sheer madness of Kalavati.

Dearest Mimi,

My friend and one of my many loving fans who wish me well. I hope you are watching me and appreciating my clever moves. Although, I must say, that ullu is always messing with my brilliance, and now it is becoming contagious. I had told him to come and meet me in the quiet of the night--don't worry, Leela is perfectly fine with these late night rendezvous between me and Suds, and Kishore doesn't matter. Now coming back to the contagious part...after meeting Suds I was walking back to my room and guess what? I found out Naku thinks it a good a idea to play dumb with me, too. She thinks playing hide and seek with me with Bhao as bait is going to drive me mad. That conjuring up his shadow in the dark and quiet will send me running for my life screaming like a little brat! But I'm a lady and I almost stood up to that shadow. It even held a gun at me and spoke in Bhao's voice! I didn't freak out for almost four seconds...I am such a brave woman...not just brilliant, and I say that without an iota of narcissism. I hope you aren't worried about how I'll hold my own against Naku's torments. I am fine and planning well. With a bit of hindrance here and there. Like for example, you know how I like to talk things over with my wonderfully reasonable mirror, right? It is so calming to have discussions with something as intelligent as yourself. But here I am, having a chat with my mirror and Naku brings the shadow again! It annoys to the brink of madness. I am bewildered at the moment. It has absolutely disturbed my train of thoughts which usually lead to clever ideas, and clever ideas are so important for planning. I have no words to describe the state of my brains right now and am searching for that menacing shadow right now under my bed and behind the curtains. I'll let you know tomorrow of what I find.
