Today when Runjhun is asked for a Medical test by Abhi to slience the people, Runjhun does not agree.

Where woman in Indian dramas have been shown to be cowards in the name of sati-savitri, pativrata, self-sacrificing mahaan atmas, Runjhun defied it all.

When Abhigyaan is going away, she so painfully is waiting for him to turn once, be with her once more, fight with her once more, not to leave her at this troubled time, with eyes full of tear of hope and he just walks away leaving her trust shattered into pieces, only to come back and drive a dagger in her heart by asking for a medical test.

Though she is left lifeless by Abhigyaan's demand for a medical test, she had the courage to stand her ground and tell him out-right that she will not get a medical test done. She rightfully said to Abhi that you are asking for a proof of me being chaste, not just for the sake of the people but for yourself. Those who want to make stories would make regardless. She rightfully asks him, even if she agrees to the test and he accepts her, will he trust the medical report itself if people starts making stories on that? (You will not be able to trust even the middle path (medical report) that you have chosen today as a solution). She explains to Abhi that he lacks trust in her and when there is no trust, there is no meaning to a relationship. When mistrust creeps in, then even 100s of tests cannot recity a relationship.

Today Runjhun showed that she will not be a victim and bear the consequences of baseless rumors. She is not going to be the Sita of the yore and burn silently.

This is the background song that plays right after the broken engagement:
Physical injury can get healed, not the injury to the soul.
Cords when broken, can get attached, but not the heart.

While she did that to Abhigyaan, I wish she understands the games her relatives plays and stands up against all atrocities they do too.

I know there is a strew of complaints from people that how this show has the usual tried and old components where the main lead just suffers the atrocities against her, but to me what attracts me to the show is the concepts that run deeper than what you just see on the surface. The language of the show, at times really hard to understand is very potent and the message very different.

As for Runjhun, yes there are times when she doesn't speak up, and I think its in her character not to question much especially when it comes to her relatives but I think once in a while she musters the courage to speak her mind and do what's right. Like the time she lied, she felt guilty enough to go back to unseemly streets and take her complaint back. I think Runjhun has a quiet strength within her. She might not be aggressive in her approach and you can see that mustering her courage takes a lot out of her, but she isn't weak either.

I can understand where Abhi is conflicted and I can understand his reasons for asking Runjhun however misplaced they were for those medical tests. I think the best part of the show is that each character has flaws and strengths in the show, including Abhi, Runjhun and Guddu.

I think to believe that one's own relatives would hurt you more than strangers is a hard concept to accept, and we still see a lot of denial in Runjhun when it comes to that matter, and hopefully someday she can gather the courage to fight them too, and speak out against them.

agree with all of you here, Runjhun is not weak but she is not that person who would talk back to her relatives, she's a quiet and reserved girl and top of that she respects her elders, Guddu didn't respect her feelings so she did what she thought was right.....nivedita is doing superb as runjhun❤️

Actually I haven't watched this show from the beginning and from whereever I have watched, I never found her weak. She used ignore somethings and was unknowingly misused by her mama-mamis but never weak.

Yes, I have read them too and do not understand what the sufferings were? From last 2 episodes I can understand she has been going through a lot of pain, and a little bit since Guddu and his cronies started irritating her, but before that what sufferings and what atrocities? I admit I have not watched this show from the beginning, but I don't consider doing house-hold chores is suffering and atrocities. Kalsanwali did pour something hot on her hands once, but com'on there are shows where they burn girls entirely. I am not trying to justify the evil acts of the mamis, but then there are shows which show much more real atrocities. Whatever the mamis used to get done from Runjhun is not like Runjhun doesn't want to do and crying bcos there is so much of work she has to do. She always enjoyed her work.

Yes, there is so much to this show than he hero being anti and heroine tagged as bechari.

There are shows where I give-up finding any logic and there are shows where I feel as if it is a slap on my intelligence. This is not one such show. I really need to use my brains to understand -
- What the mamas-mamis are upto based on what their expressions are and what they are saying. Its like - Oh! now this is what they want.
- The dialogues. Some of them are so difficult to understand. A lot of urdu usage is there.
- Trying to analyze Guddu Shukla and to a certain extent what Runjhun wants.

I cannot understand how someone can just discard all those things and say that the heroine is always crying.Heroine is orphan? So what? Look at how she stood up for herself and chose the right thing. Probably if she had parents maybe she would have pressurized her to save their image and accept the medical test request.

Yes, that is right. I did not like that fact that she hid from her Amma that mama-mami made her send Guddu to jail, which was where all these started, but have no complaints after the way she stood up for herself.

Thanks to the creatives for making Runjhun strong.
