Legalising Sex For 12 year olds!!! Is it right?

I read in the newspaper today that government is thinking of legalising sex(non-penetrative) between 12 yr olds Legal.

"Twelve-Year old childrean will be legally permitted to have non-penetrative sex with children their age, according to a draft Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Bill, 2010, that has been sent to states by the ministry of women and child development for their views. The Bill also seeks to introduce a gradation in the age of consensual non-penetrative sex(12-14 yrs and 14-16 years) against the existing age of consent for sex which is 16 years."

I would like to know your views on this matter. Is it okay to legalize sex between 12 yrs old. Will that help or make the matter even worse?

In west people are indulgent & the east is repressive.... and people creates lots of idiotic laws😕

The Bill also seeks to introduce a gradation in the age of consensual non-penetrative sex (12-14 years and 14-16 years) against the existing age of consent for sex which is 16 years. It proposes that in case of the age group 12-14, the maximum age gap between partners should be two years. For the 14-16 group, the maximum gap should be three years.

The age of consent in the US is between 16 and 18 years, depending on the state they live in; in the UK it is 16. Spain has one of the lowest ages of consent, at 13 years.

An old debate comes to my mind. Since you cannot stop the 12 year olds from indulging in these activities you legalise it just the way some countries are going in for legalising drugs and prostitution in the name of exercising right of choice and no harm being caused to anyone(?) I wonder where it will all end.

This govt is getting crazier day by day. It has been so pathetic in its conduct that it has become a laughing stock now. For example see its hilariously flip-flop stand on CVC (Mr. Thomas) in Supreme Court. For any wrongdoing they have a standard explanation that "we were not aware"...to abhi tak kya hila rahe the?

On the other hand Yuvraj (aka Rahul Gandhi) is asking people to give him 10 years to eradicate corrution. I did not know that since 2004 BJP/NDA is in power.

I think later they will legalize Murder,Rape,Currption too😕 What is the need of the hour to bring such legislation now? What is the logic that govt has to give this time?

...our parliamentarians still feel the need to pass a law base on crooked ways of life followed in western countries....!
