Aishwarya Rai wishes for a boy and a girl

She thinks it would be perfect

Aishwarya Rai had an eventful 2010 with four releases, but what made her most happy was the birth of her nephew. Though the actress loves to play aunt, she is looking forward to motherhood.

Umpteen times her pregnancy rumours have done the rounds. Plagued and pestered by the question of when the stork is visiting, Aishwarya tells the People magazine that she is looking forward to being a mother: "Of course I am looking forward to it. As and when God has planned for me, I will be a mother."

According to her, a boy and a girl would be perfect to complete a family picture.

"A child is God's gift and we will be happy to have a child, be it a girl or a boy," she adds.

Though she likes to leave everything to God, and remains unperturbed by the rumours, she felt hurt when a media report about her supposed inability to conceive because of an ongoing treatment for stomach tuberculosis started doing the rounds.

Aishwarya has also scotched various other rumours in the interview with People, but cleverly evades any question related to her ex-beau Salman Khan.

But in all seriousness, she has ample time. The oldest woman in the world to conceive is Indian....and in her her 70s, I think.

I have heard it's quite difficult to conceive after u turn 35

thats an extremely rare case, and the older u have a child, the more risk of it being born unhealthy or with some birth defects

There are more complications for the mother and the baby when you conceive after 35..having said that it's totally upto Ash and Abhi when they want to have children.

it is def difficult to conceive after age of 35, i am not saying she should quit her career and have babies. But if she really wants to have babies easier way, she should get going. Anyways , at the end of the day it is her choice..hopefully she will make a wise one.

I was just stating an interesting fact (or at least thought was) Ash is in I believe 33. With new technology and they way they moniter a fetus' development and check for complications ...it has made it easier and easier for older women to conceive. Nowadays, most women wait until they settle down into their 30s before having kids.

i heard she was 33 when she got married😳 i m sure her age must have increased since then🤔
