Priyanka Chopra refuse reports of unaccounted fortune: In a move to clear her name from the "malicious rumours" reports in the media about her alleged unaccounted wealth, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has issued a statement rubbishing that there is undisclosed income that runs into crores. A statement from the film star's chartered accountants states that only 50,000 rupees was found in her home and that all the money was accounted for.
Priyanka's representatives also state that all jewellery and houses stated in media reports are already accounted for. It is also said that she hasn't mentioned how many properties she actually owns. I-T officials had searched the residences and office of Priyanka on Monday (Jan 24) for suspected tax evasion. It was reported that the film star owns nine flats in Mumbai and has unaccounted assets worth Rs 6 crore.
