PART 27

The next day when riddhima wakes up she was not feeling the same riddhima anymore. Something has changed…her feelings has changed. Today she knew who she was and what she wanted. She was a married woman in love with her husband Siddhant…she smiled at the thought. When she turned her face she finds Sid's pic on the bedside and takes it.

Ridz: pata nahin yeh sab kaise ho gaaya…akhir mein tum jeet hi gaaye sid…mujhe aur mere pyaar ko tumne apni achai se jeet liya…jab tum mere pass the tho mujhe iss baat ka ehsaas nahin tha ki tum mere liye kitna important hote jaa rahe the…aur aaj jab tum mujhse door ho tho mujhe ehsaas hua hai ki……main bhi tumse pyaar karti hoon (she caresses the pic and leavin it on her bed she goes to get ready)

It was a very busy day for Sid and Shashank. The presentation took the whole morning. And when finaly they had some time Sid decides to rest in his room. He was holding his wedding photo and smiling looking at riddhima.

Sid: tum janti nahin ho ki main tumhe kitna miss kar raha hoon Riddhima…naa tho kuch acha lagta hai aur naa hi kisi se baat karna acha lagta hai…bas intezaar hai tho wapis tumhare pass aane ka…(then he remembers how tensed she was yesterday) kal riddhima kitni pareshan thi kisi baat ko le kar…(he looks at his watch) iss waqt…riddhima ka break hoga tho voh apne cabin mein hogi…(he takes his phone and dials her number. On the other hand ridz smiles seeing her phone)

Ridz: hello

Sid: hi riddhima…kaisi ho

Ridz: main bilkul theek hoon Sid…tumhara presentation kaisa raha?

Sid: presentation tho theek tha lekin mera yahan maan bilkul bhi nahin lag raha hai (ridz smiles)

Ridz: koi baat nahin Sid tum vahan humesha ke liye todi gaaye ho…bas teen din aur phir tum wapis aa jaoge…apne ghar

Sid: riddhima voh…kal tum pareshan thi…ab kaisi ho?

Ridz: ab sab theek ho gaaya hai…mujhe mere saare jawab mil gaaye (sid smiles relieved) anyway…tumhe pata hai…yahan sab holi ki preparation kar rahe hain…kal holi hai naa

Sid: I know…maine socha kuch aur tha lekin kuch aur hi ho gaaya iss holi mein…

Ridz: main janti hoon ki tum chahte the ki hum humari pehli holi saath mein manaaye…par tum dil chota mat kar sid…ab hume aage bohut saari holiyan saath mananeko milega…

Sid: janta hoon riddhima…par main chahta tha ki kal sab se pehle main tujh pe raang lagaoun (ridz smiles)

Ridz: theek hai tho phir ek kam karti hoon…kal main kisi ko allowed hi nahin karungi mujhe raang lagane ke liye (sid smiles)

Sid: sab se pehle tho aisa hoga nahin kyunki holi hai tho koi naa koi raang laga hi lega…par agar aisa hua tho uska kya faida?

Ridz: yahin…ki jab tum wapis ghar aaoge tho mere chehre pe toda sa raang laga ke apna wish poora karna…par sirf toda sa…

Sid: tum…tum meri wish poora karne ke liye itna kuch karna chahti ho?

Ridz: sach boloun tho…main bhi chahti thi ki hum yeh holi saath mein manaaye…tho kuch din late sahi par hum saath mein tho manaayenge naa (sid didn't know what to say he was very surprised but touched by this)

Sid: I think yeh mera sab se best belated holi hoga (someone knocks at his door to inform that it was time to attend a presentation) heuu riddhima…mujhe jaana hoga kuch kam aaya hai

Ridz: theek hai…apna khial rakhna

Sid: you too…(and he disconects the phone)

Ridz: I promise Sid…sab se pehle raang tum hi mujhe lagaoge…

The same evening everyone was at the Penthouse talking about holi and tomorrow's preparations. And the only thing riddhima was thinking about was the solution to her problem.

Anji: guys I am really excited! Usually I don't like holi but I don't know why im soo excited

Nikki: I can't believe hum itne time baad sab saath mein holi manaayenge…kitna maaza aata tha hai naa

Abhi: im sure we'll have fun par…iss baar bhi hum mein se ek nahin hai…Sid (they all remembered that Sid will not be part of it and felt sad)

Atul: sahi bola yaar…Sid ke bina voh masti nahin hogi

Yuvi: haan yaar…Sid ke bina celebration karna…aisa lagta hai bina raang holi maanana

Jp: vaise bhabhi ji Sid bhaya kab tak wapis aayenge

Ridz: voh…voh tho 3 din baad hi aayega

Jiggy: guys…ab tho mera maan hi nahin kar raha holi celebrate karna

Sue: c'mon guys tum logon ko ho kya gaaya hai?...i know agar superboy hota tho bohut maaza aata…but we'll still have fun naa

Raj: yaar tu kaisi behen hai? Vahan tera bhai sab se door pata nahin kaun si presentation mein hoga…aur yahan tujhe fun lene ki padi hai

Sue: ohh shut up okay!

Anji: I agree with sue! Guys kitne time baad hume saath mil kar holi maanane ko mil raha hai so we just have to enjoy it yaar! Aur vaise bhi naa hi dad hai aur naa hi Dr Kirti tho hume disturb karne ke liye koi nahin hoga…we will definately miss Sid but im sure we will still have a blast…tho apne yeh udass shaklein theek karo and think about tomorrow!...ok now im gonna get a drink kisi ko kuch chahiye? (some of them said yes and some no and anji headed toward the kitchen)

Ridz: Di main apki madat karti hoon…

In the kitchen ridz is helping anji for the drinks and thinking how to tell her about her decision.

Ridz: yahin sahi mauka hai Di se baat karne ke liye…varna sab ke samne main kuch bol nahin paoungi…(anji notices that she was lost in her thoughts)

Anji: Ridzi?...kya hua kya soch rahi ho?

Ridz: kuch nahin…voh…actually Di kal…

Anji: we'll have a blast! Im soo excited seriously!

Ridz: Di…voh actually mujhe nahin lagta main aa jaoungi

Anji: What?!...ridzi! dekho I know tum chahti thi ke Sid bhi ho and I understand that you feel sad…par iska matlab yeh tho nahin ki tum holi ke din ghar mein baithi raho

Ridz: par Di…(anji cuts her)

Anji: no par var! tum aa rahi ho and that's it! (she was not ready to give up ridz agrees)

Ridz: theek hai…par ek shart pe

Anji: what now?

Ridz: main kal aane ke liye ready hoon…sirf agar koi mujhe raang naa lagaaye

Anji: Ridziii!!!

Ridz: Di plzzz…its really important…main sirf issi shart pe aa sakti hoon

Anji: par kyun???

Ridz: main…main apko bata nahin sakti…lekin yahin meri shart hai (anji was really curious to know the reason)

Anji: theek hai…main tumhari shart ko maan leti hoon…(ridz smiles) only…if you tell me the reason

Ridz: main nahin bata sakti

Anji: fine mat batao…lekin phir kal tujhe raang se koi nahin bacha sakta…(ridz thought for a sec and knew this was the only way to keep her promise to sid)

Ridz: alright…meri aaj sid se baat hui kal ki celebration ke bare mein…aur usne mujhse yeh kaha ki kal ke din sab se pehle voh mujhe raang lagana chahta tha…tho maine sid se promise kiya ki kal main kisi ko mujhe raang lagane nahin dungi aur uski aane ka wait karungi taaki voh hi sab se pehle mujhe raang lagaaye (anji smiles)

Anji: tum janti ho ki tumhara yeh vaada kitna stupid hai…aisa hona almost impossible hai

Ridz: I know…par aap hai naa…im sure aap mera vaada toothne nahin degi (anji hugs her)

Anji: don't worry…jab tak teri badi bahen hai tho koi bhi kam impossible nahin hai (ridz brokes the hug still smiling) chalo main sab ko daarati hoon

They came back with the drinks and anji stood in the center to have everyone's attention.

Anji: guys mujhe ek important announcement karni hai (everyone look at her) kal holi mein koi ridzi ko raang nahin lagaayega ok?

Atul: kyun? Mujhe tho ridzi ko raang lagana hai

Anji: tumhe ridzi ko kis khushi mein raang lagaani hai?...kisi aur ko dhoond lo

Atul: nahin…I mean mujhe tho sirf tujhe hi raang lagane mein interest hai par ridzi bhi meri best friend hai naa

Nikki: haan…varna holi boring hogi…par ridzi ko lagani permission kyun nahin hai?

Ridz: voh…voh mujhe allergy hai naa!

Abhi: allergy?...aisa pehle tho nahin tha riddhima…I mean tum pehle bhi holi manati thi par koi allergy nahin tha…tho ab kaise?

Anji: c'mon guys tum log kitna sawaal kar rahe ho! Allergy nahin tha tho ab ho gaaya! Point yeh hai ki ridzi ko koi raang nahin lagaayega otherwise she is not coming…

Naina: don't worry anji…koi aisa kuch nahin karega

Anji: good…kyunki agar kisi ne bhi aisa kiya…even by mistake…tho mujhse bura koi nahin hoga!

The next day riddhima has decided to go at the holi party later so they start the event without her and forget her for the day. And when she reached there they were all already covered with colors and were looking like human flags.

Anji: ridzi tum itni late kyun aa gaayi?

Ridz: Di voh…mujhe ghar pe toda kam tha

Atul: ridzi kya hum tumhe toda sa bhi nahin laaga sakte?

Anji: Atulllll

Atul: nahin...voh main bas aise hi pooch raha tha

Sue: bhabhi just look at them (pointin at the boys) kya halaat banaayi hai humne inki

Raj: humko chor…tumne khud ki halaat dekhi hai kya? Samajh nahin aa raha hai shakal dikhti kaisi hai…

Yuvi: guys…kafi waqt hua hai naa koi boys vs girls lafda nahin hua hai

Naina: voh iss liye kyunki hum girls jeet the jeet the bore ho gaaye hain

Abhi: ohh really Dr Naina?...mujhe tho yaad hi nahin aa raha hai ki tum ladkiyan kab jeeti ho

Nikki: koi baat nahin…budhapaan mein memory kamzor ho gaayi hai naa…girls ek baar phir se dikhaaye?

Anji: sure…vaise bhi bohut din se inko sabak sikhaaya nahin hai

Raj: okay…tho kaun sa game aa raha hai tum logon ki not so smart brain mein?

Sue: we'd radher have not so smart brain than not havin brain at all looser!

Anji: well its holi tho koi holi game khelte hain…jaise ki ek team ko doosri team ki saare members ko raang lagaani hogi…aur jo team sab se pehle yeh kam karega voh winner hoga

Atul: sounds cool

Jp: maaf kijiye atul bhaya magar humko yeh sab koi cool nahin lagta…yeh tho ek jung ka elaan hai aur hum kabhi koi flowerji ke khilaf jung nahin ladne vaale…hum tho jaa ke baki flowerji ke saath holi maanate hain

Jiggy: hey Jp main bhi aata hoon…mujhe bhi holi khelni hai unke saath (and they both leave the guys to enjoy holi)

Abhi: ok then lets go…(anji goes to ridz)

Anji: ridzi tum akeli tho feel nahin karogi naa?

Ridz: bilkul bhi nahin Di…main yahan se apko support kar ke enjoy karti hoon…jaaye aur unn loosers ko dikhaaye that we are the best (anji smiles)

Anji: main todi der mein aati hoon…

The war between boys and girls starts and they all give their best to win the game. Ridz smiles watching them and that remind her the basketball match between seniors and interns. She remembered how she and Sid used to behave with each other. Then she realised that Sid did not called her yet.

Ridz: sid ne mujhe abhi tak phone nahin kiya hai…ek message bhi nahin baijha mujhe wish karne ke liye…I hope voh theek ho…shayad presentations mein busy hoga…(then she looks back at her friends who were enjoying the day and smiles) happy holi Sid…I really wish tum aaj yahan hote aur hum saath mein humari pehli holi maanate tho kitna maaza aata…(she sadly lowers her gaze from her friends to her mobile when he hears a very familiar voice from behind) "ek baar peeche mood ke dekh lo shayaad main itna door bhi nahin…"

Riddhima looks up in shock. Her heart starts to beat faster…whenever this voice surprises her her heart used to beat fast like its beating right now. She slowly turns around and finds him in front of her…Sid. He was standing right in front of her with his million dollar's smile…a smile kept growing on ridz face every moment she was realising he was there…she was soo happy to see him that her eyes get moist and she runs to find peace in his embrace. She was hugging him very tightly restin her head on his chest. Sid was quite surprised by her behaviour but that was something he noticed since he left for Delhi…so he just smiles and wraps his arms around her.

Ridz: tum wapis aa gaaye Sid…

Sid: tumhari bohut yaad aa rahi thi naa tho tumhe dekhne ke liye mujhe wapis aana pada...

Ridz opens her eyes and realised she was hugging Sid so feeling embarrased she brokes the hug. Sid felt her awkwardness and smiles…he then slowly lifts his hand and caresses her cheeck.

Sid: happy holi Mrs Modi…(ridz touches her cheeck to find color and smiles feeling relieved that she kept her promise then she brushes his nose with her finger)

Ridz: happy holi…

They kept staring at each other and everyone was busy with the game. Jp was smiling at a girl who was standing in front of Siddhima and when she moved jp gets shocked seeing Sid standing with riddhima. So screaming his name he runs towards him and the gang stops the game to see what was going on. Jp and jiggy run and hug Sid feeling happy to see him then the whole gang join them quite surprise to see him there.

Anji: Sid? What are you doing here? I mean…tum tho Delhi mein the naa

Sid: hi anji…main theek hoon tum kaisi ho?

Sue: bro seriously…tum tho teen din baad aane vaale the naa…tho phir yahan kaise?

Sid: wow…lagta hai tum log bohut khush ho mujhe yahan dekh kar…anyway…happy holi to all of you (atul hugs him and puts color on his cheecks)

Atul: happy holi mere bhai…main tho sach mein khush hoon tujhe dekh kar

Abhi: haan voh tho sab ko pata hai…but sid tumne jawaab nahin diya…don't tell me tum

Dr Shashank ko vahan chor ke aa gaaye idiot!

Sid: c'mon bhai…im not that stupid…actually Dr Shashank ko pata tha ki aaj yahan holi ki celebration hai tho usne mujhe wapis baijha

Abhi: aur tum maan gaaye!

Sid: of course not bro!…lekin unhone meri koi baat nahin sun li tho main aa gaaya

Anji: dad is soo cool! Sorry par we were very surprised you know

Yuvi: guys…ab ek dhamakedar holi ho jaaye?

Atul: haan bilkul…aur ab tho sid bhi yahan hai…arre vaise sid…tumhe tho pata hoga naa ki ridzi ko raang…(he looks at ridz and gets shocked) SID!!! Yeh tune kya kiya??? (he gets confused)

Sid: kyun kya hua dude??

Atul: tujhe pata nahin ridzi ko raang se allergy hai???

Sid: what?? (he looks at ridz) par tumne tho kaha tha ki…(before he could speak ridz cuts him)

Ridz: heuu Atul…I think…main galat thi…lagta hai allergy kisi aur cheez se hain

Atul: par ridzi tumne tho kal kaha ki raang se hi allergy hai (anji gets very annoyed)

Ridz: atul tum itne sawaal kyun poochte ho!! Ridzi keh rahi hai ki allergy nahin hai tho nahin hai!...for god sake stop your questions iss se pehle ki main tujhe maar daloun!

Atul: main tho bas sure hone ke liye pooch raha hoon…

Anji: Atullll!!!!

Atul: acha theek hai…tho phir main ridzi ko raang lagaloun?

Abhi: arre mere baap lagale! Do din se dimaag khaa raha hai issi baat ko le kar! (atul smiles and puts some color on her face)

Atul: happy holi ridzi (ridz smiles)

Ridz: thank you…

Abhi: mere bhai…ab chalein?

Atul: haan chal naa maine kab rokha hai?

They were having a nice time all together but it wasnt what anji was expecting. Infact people who have organized the celebration find it quite boring so to bring the excitement and masti one of them got the idea to mix alcohol in boys drinks. But by mistake the waiter gives the mixed drinks to the girls and after some time they get all drunked and as expected very excited and out of control. Boys were quite confused with their attitude but soon understood that they were drunked.

The dhol waalon start to play music and girls kept annoying boys who had enough and decide to attack the girls and start running after them. They all spend a very good time together and the drunken girls brought very nice atmosphere for the whole celebration. After a long time things were getting out of control and they decide to take girls back at home. Sue was the only girl in her senses as she wasn't there during the drink fiasco so she helped yuvi to take naina home.

Sid and Ridz reached home and Sid was helping her to walk as she was not able to do it alone.

Ridz: Sid

Sid: hmmm?

Ridz: plzzz do me a favour

Sid: kya?

Ridz: lets play holiiiii!!! (sid smiles) vaise tum mujhe kahan le jaa rahe ho?

Sid: kamre mein…tumhe araam karni hai

Ridz: nahinnnn…mujhe wapis jaana hai…sab holi khel rahe hain…main bhi khelna chahti hoon

Sid: nahin riddhima sab chale gaaye…holi khatam ho gaayi

Ridz: tum jooth bol rahe ho…voh uncle jo drinks deta tha voh abhi bhi vahin hai…mujhe aur bhi peeni hai chalo naa

Sid: tum already bohut pee chuki ho…ab aur nahin tumhe rest karna hai

Ridz: mama kehti hai ki dood health ke liye acha hai…aur voh uncle bohut acha tha voh sab ko dood peela raha tha (sid was amused by her childish behaviour) chalo wapis chalte hain

Sid: no riddhima (she frees herself)

Ridz: main jaoungi!

Sid: riddhima…meri baat maan jao varna…(she puts her hands on her hips)

Ridz: kya?? Kya karoge?

Sid: main…varna main tumhe utha ke le jaounga (ridz gets happy hearin this as if a lil kid was about to ger her favourite toy)

Ridz: sachiiiiii??

Sid: haan!

Ridz: theek hai!! (sid gets confused)

Sid: what?

Ridz: utha looo!

Sid: riddhima tum…

Ridz: agar tum mujhe uthaoge nahin tho main yahin kadi rahungi humesha ke liye aur tumse baat bhi nahin karungi!

Sid gives up and picks her in his arms and heads towards their room. Ridz gets very happy being in his arms so rests her head on his chest and wraps her arms around his neck. He lays her on the bed and was about to leave but ridz holds his hand.

Ridz: kahan jaa rahe ho?

Sid: riddhima tum araam karo todi der ke liye main niche jaa raha hoon

Ridz: mat jao naa…plzz mere pass baitho (sid smiles and sits near her. Ridz was still holding his hand so he tried to free it but ridz tightened her grip and sits to face him)

Sid: riddhima…maine tumse kaha naa toda rest karo

Ridz: nahin mujhe nahin karna…tum chale jaoge

Sid: don't worry main yahin hoon (ridz smiles)

Ridz: pakka??

Sid: haan

Ridz: promise?

Sid: yesss promise (ridz pinches his cheecks in joy)

Ridz: you're soooooo cuteee!!! (then pinching his cheecks reminds her their first meeting and her three slaps)

Ridz: toda pass aao (sid bends a lil) toda sa aur…(he bends a lil more) aur toda…(he does it. And when he was close enough to her she drops a sweet kiss on his cheeck. Sid looks at her taken aback his hand on his cheeck) yeh naa…voh sab tappar ke liye jo maine tumhe maara hai (and she holds her ears) im sorry…(sid was lookin with love at this childish riddhima and holds her hands)

Sid: its ok…

Ridz: sid…tum mujhe kabhi chod ke tho nahin jaoge naa?...jaise har kisi ne mujhe choda vaisa tum tho nahin karoge?

Sid: nahin riddhima…I promise…main tumhe kabhi nahin chodunga (ridz eyes get moist and she hugs him tightly fearing that he will leave her)

Ridz: Sid plzzz ek baar mujhse keh do ki…ki tum mujhse bohut pyaar karte ho…aur jo bhi ho jaaye tum mera saath kabhi nahin chodoge (sid makes her face him and holds her face in his palms)

Sid: main tumse bohut pyaar karta hoon riddhima…and I promise…life mein kuch bhi ho main humesha tumhare saath rahunga…tumhare pass…tum meri zindagi ho riddhima aur main tumhe kabhi chor ke nahin jaounga…(tears escape from her eyes and she hugs him again)

Ridz: ek baar aur keh do ki tum mujhse pyaar karte ho…(sid hugs her back caressing her hair)

Sid: I love you…

Ridz was falling asleep as if these three words were a lullaby for her. Sid very carefully lays her back on the bed but sits near her still caressing her hair. Ridz was holding his hand close to her heart.

Ridz: i……sid i…I love you sid…I love you…

She was murmuring these words in her sleep. Sid was completely shocked by hearing this from riddhima…he didn't know how to react or what to think about what she just said. So he decided to put his toughts aside for the moment and make sure ridz sleeps.

Later in the night Sid was at the terrace lost in his thoughs and riddhima's confession. He has still not digested her last three words…I love you…

Sid: riddhima ko ho kya gaaya hai? Jab se main Delhi gaaya hoon voh kuch ajeeb sa behave karti hai…kya usse sach mein mujhse….?...par voh tho mujhe sirf ek acha dost maanti hai…tho kahin voh yeh sab mujhe khush karne ke liye nahin keh rahi hai? Par agar aisa hota tho mujhe voh saari baatein kehne ke liye nahin bolti…(he takes a deep breath) mujhe riddhima se baat karni hogi...poochni hogi ki akhir uske dil mein kya chal raha hai...
