Article-Tarak Mehta writers pull out

The success of producer Asit Modi's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah seems to have given him a swollen head as sources tell us that Asit regularly gets into a fit of rage, yells at his efficient writing duo Raju Odedra and Rajen Upad, only because he wants them to write the script the way he wants it to be.

"Needless to say, Raju and Rajen have their own style of writing and do not find the producer's style alluring enough to attract the attention of audiences," says our source, adding, "Raju-Rajen have already signed a contract with a well known production house on the quiet."

When asked if he is joining Contiloe, Raju simply replies, "I have given a concept to Contiloe for a south sitcom." Commenting further on the panga with Asit, he says, "Right from the first day we have had creative differences while penning TMKOC." He adds that only recently the writers and the producer had some problems, but insists, "It was a creative discussion. I have no plans of quitting TMKOC."

We'll have to wait and see whether Raju-Rajen will continue with the household serial, or give it a miss.
