'SUJAL' is Dead for me says Rajeev-HT

AT THE Pink city Film Festival on Saturday Evening,there was a long list of fans(all girls) outside the AMITABH BACHHAN GALLERY to get their personalised Autographs from a star. Not Mr. Bachchan, though. It was the grown RAJEEV KHANDELWAL, or 'Sujal' as they addressed him who was visiting the festival running in his native town.

For his part,though,the character of Sujal seems to have stuck like a shadow behind Rajeev.And he is making concious efforts to come out of the image,"Sujal has been long dead for me,I have moved on," he said visiting the AB gallery at the festivle. Though he is humble enough to admit that the character isn't entirely his making."A lot goes into the making of a character known or successful,and it comes from various people,the director,the scriptwriter and the actor too.So there was my contribution too a certain extent." said Rajeev.He added,"The dedication pays back."

NOwhe said that people objecton experimenting but he'll experiment...

And what about TRP'S and the encouragement from producers and channels for they take only what sells? Rajeev strikes back with an instant response,"Zero!""Beleive me,there is no encouragement at all when u try doing something new. But i will experiment even if i fallThat way , I would atleast not be regretfull when i look back sometime in the future." Though,he isn't in a mood to reveal his future plans."There are two major projects on-smalscrn itself,and u would see the difference they make to my career."concluded Rajeev.
