i think sanskaar lakhmi is off to a great start. the show started off with lots of humor which is unuusal and showed the lead girl in the last few minutes. the script for the 1st episode was great: right amount of humor, tears, drama. the characters are well skecteched and that acting wise all of them did a great job.

looking forward to the intro of lakshmi in the next episode.

strong points of the show
anang desai. fab actor. he is doing a great job as the father/grandfather. loving, caring and strict, conservative in principals and modern in thoughts. accepting of all his children, despite their flaws. very realistic. men dont involve themselves too much in sibling rivarly, but the children know that the father always sides with the right son.
mothers may side with the underdog, or the soft one, but fathers dont.

mahendra: he is austic, but the writers are using him correctly and his strengths as well. i guess as the show progresses, the autism might work against him, but mahendra's intelligence will work towards him.

kaveri and her husband: loving couple. the son works hard, and the wife supports him. i love seeing traditonal couples like that. it melts my heart. i love that they brought up mahendra to be self-sufficent.

the humor. in a drama, humor can work wonders, as it can lend an air of reality as most families dont have a huge gathering and shockeed faces. but if its overdone, the show becomes faltu

the script: the writers have strated the show and let us know of the characters. they know where they are heading. i like that. sometimes, creatives have an idea of the show, but no clue of the pschology of the characters, thus the show goes haywire.

minuses:
today; too much humor. i want to see some good gripping drama.
the grandma: some reason, she turns me off...

Ya I agree with you the grandmother is a turn off. She is annoying.
I hope we don't see much of her.

I would like to see some strong characters especially female ones. Not ones that just stand around and weep all day. 😉😉 So far like the lady who believes in the autistic guy.

I really liked the younger brother i think vinod or vijay (not sure of the name yet). He was hillarious. Laxmi looked good too but the heroism was overdone.
Im waiting to see anisha as ragini. was disappointed not to find her in yesterdays epi.
