Yes the same thing happened with Vidya during Kismat Konnection days

And I have yet to see the Rani-Vidya KWK...he had the gall to tell her that? That's so mean!

Too late.
Rani (1978) romanced Shahid (1981), Ranbir (1982)
Aishwarya (1973) romanced Abhishek (1976), Hrithhik (1974), Vivek (1976)
Vidya (1978) romanced Shahid (1981)
Bipasha (1979) romanced Ranbir (1982)
Kareena (1980) romanced Shahid (1981), Imran (1983)
Karisma (1974) romanced Abhishek (1976)

And before them...
Madhuri (1967) romanced Akshaye (1975)
Sridevi (1963) romanced SRK (1965), Salman (1965), Akshay (1967)

And my favourite:
Rekha (1954) romanced Akshay (1967)

The list is endless.

However, you will never see it on the scale of SRK-Deepika, Salman-Sonakshi, Aamir-Asin, Akshay-Anushka.

Can you imagine the following pairs:
Madhuri Dixit and Ranbir Kapoor
Kajol and Imran Khan
Sridevi and John Abraham

Wow great observation and I agree with the pairs that would never work out in films

^ the funny thing is Kajol-Imran (8 years difference) BUT Shah Rukh-Anushka (23 years difference) is okay.

i think that because our culture " Man must be older than Woman" actually kajol - imran would be horrible but she can be his mother or even elder sister

I like how Kajol's picture has been replaced by Rani's. 😆Before it was usually Aishwarya and Kajol who were named for surviving marriage and the dreaded 30s and Rani was written off but now we magically see Rani in it. I guess Rani has started to regain her clout with the NOKJ release. Fraternity ke badalte rishtey.

^ Agreed. Rani is well and truly back on the map bigtime!
And we all know Rani will milk this opportunity - good on her!
