Sameer Soni, a self-confessed introvert, entered the " Bigg Boss" house in the hopes of letting his fans get to know him better, and to do so, without embarrassing his family. Now, armed with dreams of directing a movie and marriage on the cards, he discusses his life in the house and his equation with the co-inhabitants...
Friends outside?
He says, "I would count Seemaji, Manoj and Shweta as my friends. Also Khali, when I could understand what he was saying that is. but the chances of us being friends outside are pretty low. Inside we used to talk about day-to-day things like what food to eat or what task to perform, outside we would be fumbling for common topics of conversation. I'm sure Khali or Seemaji will go back to worlds very different from mine."
A pressure cooker
"Think of a world, with just 14 people living in it, and under the same roof. We end up laughing, crying and sharing our insecurities." He explains. "Where else will we go? The show's format was such that we had to nominate people in front of everyone, then that one becomes your enemy. It was like a pressure cooker. We had no contact with the outside world, so it was challenging to not get involved in politics."
Dolly has a split personality
"When Dolly came into the house, people did not know how to react and so they ended up getting intimidated. That's when I stood up to her. I have no more grudges. She was very sweet to me the second time around. She even called me Sammu, which was a little ridiculous since even my mother doesn't call me Sammu!
I didn't embarrass my family
"I miss the house, because even though we had no personal space there, I was at least away from the phones, emails ' we even had most our clothes taken away. It was like going back to the basics. I am glad I was straightforward on the show and did not embarrass my family."
