Raakhi Verma steps in Lapataganj; plays rangeen 'Duniya'

Our source says, "It so happens that Biji Pandey gets a proposal for marriage, however since he is already in love with Surili, he refuses to meet Duniya. Though Biji cannot openly reject Duniya he thinks of an idea to send his brother Guddu to Duniya's house. He instructs Guddu to behave badly so that Duniya herself will opt out of marriage. But one look at Duniya and Guddu falls in love with her at first sight. Unknowingly he behaves so well that Duniya immediately gives her consent for the marriage. Her character is not a cameo and it will add some colour to the show."

Raakhi who was last seen in Choti Bahu has already started shooting for the show. She says, "Duniya is a very peppy, sweet, straight-forward and chatpati girl. I haven't done a role like this in my career till date, so I immediately decided to do it. I am going to have a very bright look in the show. I will mostly wear saris with lots of bangles, heavy make-up and two plaits. I am enjoying it."

Her entry will happen this Thursday.
