Barefoot.....😳 What are your thoughts on contestants dancing w/o any shoes-footware or barefoot....I do understand contemporary is mostly danced bare foot but watching Chang dancing "I am a disco dancer" w/o shoes while his partners were wearing them 😲 I found it very odd as disco one can dance with the shoes on..😃
Pls share your thoughts and understanding...

It certainly depends on the form.
For international forms, Dancing without shoes might be comfortable but it mostly may not be acceptable.

For a disco performance, I would have expected shoes.

Most Western or Latin dance forums I have always seen performers wearing shoes but in a contemporary style dancing...
Indian classical dancing I have seen most without footware...which is totally acceptable way..
To me it does not look professional to dance w/o shoes the type of dance forms one is performing on requiring shoes..Not trying to nitpick here...Hope my topic is understood..

Varsha Di even I was a little agitated to see Chang doing disco without shoes 😕 where his partners were wearing shoes all above to their knees he was looking weird with no shoes at all.
And I agree it depends on the dance form.
If its indian without shoes dancing is totally ok and looks fine but if its a western dance form I think shoes should be wear as it really looks untidy in some of the dance forms.
Last year I didn't follow Nach baliye at all but once by chance I plugged in and Farah Khan the judge was screaming at a contestant cause she was wearing very ugly shoes and it was looking untidy 😆
So yeah it does distracts you if its looking untidy and ugly as costumes and shoes enhance your performance and its a plus if they are pretty.

Varsha di,

I think Chang's whole performance wasn't anything to rave about and did not deserve 9s like the judges gave him ... shoes or no shoes. 😆 But he should've had some form of footwear while dancing.

Chingu Mingu ... hum paise de dete hain, tum jaa ke joote le lo! 😆

Ajnu so awesome seeing you here...Yeah chingu mingu could have worn platform shoes to make it a total disco performance and would have looked a bit taller than his partners 😉😆
