Shveta's down with jaundice
By: Vickey Lalwani
April 6, 2006

Shveta Salve
Shveta Salve (Shveta of Manish Goswami's Sarrkkar) is suffering from jaundice and has been admitted to Wockhardt Hospital in Mulund. Sarrkkar is in its closing stages.

Shveta has no clue on whether she'll be able to terminate her role in a logical manner. "I have no idea when I'll resume. Dekhte hain kya hota hai."

Goswami knows

Manish is well aware of Shveta's plight. He says, "We'll see for two or three days. My last schedule will go on till April 16. If she's able to shoot, she is more than welcome. Or else, I will have no option, but to sum it up without utilising her services any further."

Five days in hospital

Speaking from the hospital on Tuesday, Salve told HiTLIST that she has been in the hospital for the last five days.

"It started with fever, which did not come down, even after taking medication. What was strange was that there were no visible symptoms of jaundice — like yellow eyes or nails — and hence, one could not ascertain quickly, what exactly was wrong."

Shveta's mother who stays in Chembur, is staying with her in the hospital. The actress has been put on a very strict diet.

Right now, she is only allowed hospital food, "I am having whatever is being served to me from the hospital, so I don't have to worry about eating anything that would affect my health. Once I go home, however, I will have to follow instructions and stick to the list of dos and don'ts."
