The date has been set. Kavya of Kavyanjali will die on April 14.

Eijaz Khan doesn't know it yet, but his character will be out of the show on April 14.

Balaji head honcho Ekta Kapoor confirms the news. She says: "Yes, I think Kavya will die on April 14. It happens to be Anita's (who plays Anjali in the serial) birthday… just an uncanny coincidence, I guess."

Will the death will have the same effect as Mihir's death in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi? "It is a very dramatic death for Kavya and to imagine Kavyanjali without Kavya is tough. But we've a bl***y good story ahead!" she replies

True to the tradition at Balaji Telefilms of not informing an actor about his or her character's death until the eleventh hour, actor Eijaz Khan has still not been told when his character Kavya will kick the bucket in Kavyanjali.

Khan for his part though seems unperturbed. He says: "Not that I'm thinking about it. I'm just enjoying the shoot while it lasts. I remember my disappointment when I was out of Kahiin To Hoga and the other serials I did for Balaji. It's best not to think about it."

However he also accepts that after being a part of a team for such a long time, one does tend to bond with the unit members. "I'm already missing the Kavya team. But then change is inevitable, especially in a long-running soap," he confesses.
