Singapore officials see Krrish first

Even as audiences in India eagerly await the relase of Krrish (starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Rekha), some Singaporeans have already seen the unedited version of the movie.

Final version

Since Krrish has been shot in Singapore, officials of the Singapore Tourism Board made it clear to director Rakesh Roshan that the sequel to Koi Mil Gaya could not be released before they had seen it in its entirety.

Said a source, "The Singapore tourism officials were worried about the portrayal of Singapore, and therefore asked to see the film."

When contacted, Rakesh Roshan admitted that he had shown the full film to the concerned officials. "They were here in Mumbai three days ago."

Roshan said the only reason he showed them the film was because the officials wanted to ensure that sufficient footage of Singapore have been used. "One hour of the second half of Krrish is set in Singapore," he adds.

'No animals'

Reports say the censor board has objected to some scenes in the film, which feature animals.

A mare has been used for a marriage scene, invoking the Animal Welfare Board's wrath. The censors insist that the marriage scene should be deleted.

They allege that the scene was shot in Uttaranchal, and the mare was used without the permission of the state's animal welfare board. Roshan refuted this. "There are no animals in Krrish," he said.
