The long wait is over and the nation finally gets its two most favourite contestants in the TOP most position of Indian Idol. The TOP 2 of Indian Idol are none other than the very well deserving candidates – Karunya from Hyderabad and Sandeep from Bikaner. Karunya and Sandeep have travelled a long and arduous journey full of joys and sorrows, anxiety and thrills to make it to this crucial point in the show. Before they embark on the journey further, which will decide their fate, the two well deserving finalists have been given the opportunity to visit their family, friends, fans and loved ones for their blessings and well wishes. Sandeep, the Bikaner boy, who has millions of fans especially girls crazily in love with him is finally visiting his own hometown fans. The Top 2 finalist who is known for his love for food finally returns to his hometown to taste home-cooked food after months of grueling hard work. "I can't believe the day to finally taste home-cooked food is here…I love eating and it has been months that I have had the chance to eat home-cooked dishes." exclaimed a joyous Sandeep. According to his mother Sandeep has lost a lot of weight in the last few months and intends to feed him like never before to get him back in shape. Sandeep though is quite happy with his now toned look. After all mothers will be mothers. 19 - year old Karunya is happy beyond words to have got the chance to visit his hometown at last. He misses his best friend, Vinay and his sister the most. Karunya is dying to speak and hear his own language, Telugu, after so long. "It has been so many months that I have spoken to anyone in Telugu and have had my mother's home cooked food. I want to simply sit and chat with my sister and eat my mother's home cooked food. I can't wait to see my house again…my neighbours, my friends, my locality…everything…I am just dying to visit Hyderabad." exclaimed an excited Karunya. During the last elimination round when Karunya reached the Bottom two, his father, unlike anyone present on the sets, did not fear his vote out at all. "I have been very confident about my son and his talent, and now that he has reached Top Two… I am sure he would not be voted out and attain the title." said the confident and proud father. It was in that same episode, Anuj Sharma was voted out after weeks of negative feedback from the judges. The judges had not been able to control their emotions in the last episode and had told Anuj on his face that he should be voted out and the deserving candidates should get the chance to compete against each other in the final round. A true fan of 'The Indian Idol', Anuj's sister too said that she would like to see Karunya win the crown if it is not her brother. In a heart-wrenching moment, Anuj had to face a lot of barbed comments from the judges. The home coming experience will truly be an eye opener for the TOP 2. They will now witness the frenzy and the craziness of their own hometown fans. They will now have to think twice before stepping out to the daily hangout joints as crazy fans will be aching to meet them; they will finally get to see their own hero who has rocked the very roots of the nation. Emotions of nostalgia, happiness and immense joy that they will experience in these 2 days will be cherished forever.
