Liz...Ive noticed that many ppl dont like the repeatedness of the scenarios. I guess if one compares with the previous epis maybe in some way yest was also repetitive...but there was a twist...earlier Naku would simply reaffirm her love...shout from rooftops if that was required. But yesterday she didnt feel the need to do that...instead she wanted Dutta to acknowledge his love for her which isnt dead. And this is the same Naku who always said she doesnt expect anything in return to her love.
Sigh. LTL has its share of flaws. In my defence, I'd like to say that I didn't fall for the show coz it's perfectly executed. There's this honesty that shines through, even in the lamest of tracks. That is what keeps me glued to this show.
There are two things that make this show less than perfect:
The dragfests. Many I know simply abhor this show because it tends to drag at the most inopportune of moments. I know they are right when they say that the show tends to get downright boring at times, but they don't know what they're missing out. To each his/her own, I suppose. I can only talk for myself. I am ready to wait it out. 😊
Redundant tracks/situations. Now this is something neither you nor I can deny. We've seen a repeat of the same old situations since March. Marriage, drama, jungle, realization, kidnap, love. Now it's marriage, FR, drama, gunshot, jungle, slow realization, kidnap/separation(you never know) and finally love. Even the situations are so similar! I don;t know about the others, but I am enjoying it. The subtle twists in between make the show worth watching. I have a feeling the CVs are doing it on purpose. Dutta then and Dutta now are totally different people. The current track, though annoying to many, is proof of Dutta has evolved from the stone-hearted don, scared of taking chances to a man who will dare to risk it all for love. He has started thinking about giving love a chance, and this slow evolution is simply amazing!
And this is the same Naku who always said she doesnt expect anything in return to her love.
I think she asked him the question so that he comes out with his feelings. Remember Dutta asking her the same question in September? I think she was trying out the same too. If he said he didn't love her, that would prove to her that he doesn't care if she stays or leaves. This affirmation was essential for her to keep herself strong. She is after all, a woman. ANd that one line from Dutta would've proved to her that he does not doubt her chastity. She just wanted to be reassured.
