^ Of course I'm sure it hurt the whole team. Who wants to see all their hard work go wasted. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've heard that HR/AR have been receiving decent reviews, so that's a plus :)

.
You know, that's totally true. I remember after watching Black, I was completely awed by the movie. But I have never ever had the urge to watch it again. It was too dark, too gloomy and too slow. I haven't seen Guzaarish but I think it might fall along the same lines. People can appreciate the film being good but at the end of the day, it isn't a movie you will watch again and again.

Agree!! It does work, but I'm just glad the work was appreciated in other ways instead of BO success, even BO success would have been better! Oh well, Happy for Duggu and Gullu!!!😆

now people said this is an 'art' film.....so you can expect how much they will care to go and watch the movie.......even though it is GOOOD

Of course it would hurt, but I think the fact that everyone appreciated his work through amazing reviews kind of makes up for it! But I also think the awards are going to him this year, just b/c of all the performances I've seen this year...he had the most complex character to play....so I guess that might make up for the pain of bad BO!

Also like I said ppl can't watch films like Guzaarish more than once...it's depressing and sad and at th end of the day all you feel is pity for the characters, ppl rather laugh and have fun while watching films then get all gloomy...we have enough sadness and pain as it is in our daily lives so cinema has been an escape from reality....so def not surprised! I kind of knew that going in, but I thought maybe HA's chemistry would make up for it! But I think the dialouges being mostly in English and the lack of color and up beat songs also killed the chances....I mean Devdas was sad too, but at least it was bright and larger than life.....Guzaarish wasn't!

So another disaster for Hritik and offically Hritik and Aish are out of the esteemed jodis which never had a flop.. since guzaarish is a disaster.. thank god that MNIK worked.. i am glad SRK-Kajol's jodi passed the test of time yet again.. another jodis with no flops now are Ranbir katrina, Akshay -Kat have a few averages here and there but they are a successful jodi.. but nothing beats Srk-Kajol.. they have the best bo record...

So true 😆. I remember at the beggining of 2010 ,how some ppl were like oooh SRK-Kajol sooo overrated!😛:P..Get over them pls HR-AR are gonna rock 2010 ..Yeah right😆..
SRK-Kajol may havent done "path-breaking" movies like Raavan or Guzaarish 😛 but who cares really?..Junta always loved them even in the most cliched love stories and they were lucky enough to NOT have a "disaster" written to their credit 😉
Its not like MNIK was a typical rom-com or mindless comedy fick that forced audience to forget real life issues 😉..
Cant believe movies which were touted to be changing face of Indian Cinema-Raavan,Kites,Guzaarish,KHJSS all bombed 😲.Good lesson to some who were flying too high:P

I think the Indian audience just wanted the movies to be Indian rather than NRI/mostly English speaking scripts this year😆 As for Raavan and Kites which don't fit into those categories, I think both over-hyping and "under-hyping" the films led to their demise
