12. Apprehension

Midwife declared that she was now bearing a youngling.

Joy. Confusion. Realization. Trepidation.

Naivety that she had perpetually harbored was washed away with that declaration. The entailment that followed it wasn't something she had to second guess. She didn't want anyone to decide fate of the unborn.

Womanhood had taken over an innocent child.

That was touching....when I revert back to that time....
I feel sorry and even pity for Geet that she was robbed off her innocence at
such a young age...and I do not mean it was robbed by being married or getting pregnant
but coz she was stranded all alone amidst the crowd, no one to console or lean on in times of despair.....this verse just captured every emotion beautifully !!!!!!

The best according to me as of yet ! :)

Tears

Rude you are to yourself

Did I ask a thing but help?

Hidden behind a vicious charm

Why do I expect a gentle balm?

Apprehension

Womanhood had taken over an innocent child

I love the above line very much...the most amazing feeling that makes a girl realise of her womanhood.

The reflection seems so strange

when mirror spoke in range

the innocence of my face slips

to passed down within me

let me nourish and cherish

the innocence will again flourish

That was nice. But sad and unfortunate for Geet. I could see all those episodes flowing right in front of my eyes. She was apprehensive and weak and scared. Motherhood transformed her into a strong, daring righteous woman almost instantly.
