part 8

June : maan went to school to see his result. Checked his roll number & wrote down his marks
& quietly came back to his flat. He just came & sat next to the window. Daadi came running to the flat within few minutes their house was covered with media persons & school teachers & principal. daadi was little confused & worried.
Principal - Maan Singh Khurana has topped the 10th CBSE board across all the regions.
Daadi thought it was a joke for a moment, and then wondered why principal would take the pain of coming to her house & cracking the joke. She responded with a smile
media wanted to take a snap of Maan & also some interviews.
Principal & teachers took extra pride in acknowledging him as their student.
Daadi went into maans room & kissed his forehead - thanxs beta u really did well
He smiled & continued to look outside the window for her smile that lingered there.
Daadi - everyone is waiting for you in the hall.
He was not the person who would like to be around people daadi knew that but still requested him to come out. He came out feeling really uncomfortable. His eyes scanned through the crowd looking for her. Cameras clicked, reporters questioned him, and teachers wished him, principal made an announcement he will be joining the science stream in their school & his complete fees is exempted. Maan was least interested in anything or any body's claim. His restlessness was increasing he looked again & again at the door for her, every one presented him bouquets or some gifts. He did not like so much of crowd & people around. He looked at daadi, she looked really happy & delighted. He began to become sad not finding her there. Everything seemed pointless until he saw her, she stood near the door trying to make her way but was not able to. She had prasad & some flowers which she hid seeing the big-big bouquets. He smile & face was glowing in joy now. Media again clicked his snaps now she slowly went to his room & hid behind the door. No one noticed her in the crowd. By now she realized he has done really well still unsure how well. She was very happy & jumping in joy. He was still stuck in the hall; he just wanted to be with her. She spoke to his picture lying on the bed, kissed him
again & again & again. She kept murmuring pata hain ridz tho kah rahi thi u won't do well, I just hope you have done better than her sisterbahut maza aayega. Maan finally made his way into the room & locked the door behind. He saw her murmuring to his picture. He lied next to her & said I have done better than her. She immediately rolled to see him sachi. He nodded.
She kissed him all over his face. She rested her head on his arms & said congrats you are the best. I love you. He kept looking at her & the joy he saw in her eyes today was not there on her result day. He wondered itna koi kisi ke bare main kaise soch sakta hain. Suddenly her eyes became moist wetting his arms. He snapped up at once, it felt like burning him. He yelled in anger - kya huwa, ro kyun rahi ho
she sat up & buried her head in his chest u will be living to darjling in few days.
He wipes her tears & drags her out. She doesn't come out & hides behind the door
Media & most of the people had already left. Only the principal & few teachers were there.
Maan walks to daadi - are we still going to darjling?
Principal - u are not going anywhere. You are our schools pride. We cannot effort to lose you.
Daadi smiles feeling proud. Maan smirks thinking about what daadi had said earlier these people only care for marks. He just ignores them(first sign of Maan Singh Khurana's attitude.. muskan delighted😳) & goes back to the room closes the door & stands crossing his hand
over his chest. Daadi finds his behavior rude but tries to cover him.
Daadi - he is shy that's why
Teachers interrupted - he has been always like this quite & silent, never given any trouble to us
Maan stood crossing his hand & looking at her.
Geet - you are really not going
He nodded. She hugs him sweeping him into a different world. Longing craving wet contended & warm & panting restlessly. Her hug always made him lose himself. He wanted to hold her so badly today but his hands lay down on either side. He just wanted to be in her arms. He wanted to share his happiness with her. he went in the wash room got freshen up & came out.
Geet - meri treat
He hesitated looked away. Then quickly searched his draw if had any money anywhere.
Geet - mera pass paisen hain
He still looked reluctant, he wanted to treat her.
She gives her purse to him - aapki salary aayegi tho mujhe dedena
he felt better.
Geet - paisen nahi puri salary
He smiled probably for the first time.
They waited for everyone to leave & then sneaked out to the ice-cream parlor.
She ordered for 2 chocolate ice-creams.
They both had the ice-cream & she kept nibbling into his every now & then
Geet - aapka ice-cream humesha mera ice-cream is better hoti hian
He gives his cup to her & takes hers. After some time she could again nibble into his cup
Dehka aapke ice-cream better hain. They would swap the cups again.
Few of maans classmates were also around there. They came up to him & congratulated him
He ignored them (muskan jumping' yah..Maan Singh Khurana in form😃)& continued to eat the
ice-cream. Geet - woh aapko congratulate kyun kar rahen the
Maan - result ke liya
Geet - phir aap unse baat kyun nahi kar rahen
He shot an angry look to her - have u ever seem them talking to me?
She nodded for a NO feeling scared
Maan in a rude tone - they all are behind marks.
Geet - aap ghar challo main mama se bolke aapki nazar uttarwati hoon
She drags him home. He was really scared of rejection. He was scared to see her mom & dad
He really hated parents but couldn't say anything to her.
Rano opened the door that led to the huge hawali he just kept looking around.
Geet - mama yeh Maan hain mere friend aur tuition teacher
Rano just recollected - tum Maan Singh Khurana ho
Maan was scared did she know about his parents & their divorce he bend his head down
Rano - OH!!! Congrats beta
Maan smiled weakly & wondering why was she congratulating
Rano immediately made him sit & treated him with high regard.
Geet - mama please pehle inki nazar uttarni hain
Rano - woh tho hain, sab ki nazar lagi hogi hain
Geet looked confused what was mama talking about.
Geet - aap kyun naraz uttaren bole rahen ho she asked curiously
Rano - pagli he has topped in his boards, newspaper, TV sab jagah bus iske hi charche hain
Geet had her jaw dropped open - school main? . rano - nahi across all regions. geet made a complaining face to maan. Maan wondered what happened
Rano brought some red chilies and swing her hand around him murmuring some thing
& burned the chilies in the fire. Rano came back escorted with some maids carrying
Juices & snacks for them. After they finished, Geet dragged him to show him her room.
Her room was really huge probably 4 times his room. He always thought she was like a pari, but after seeing her life style she definitely was a pari, her bed it was circular in shape, pink in
Color, teddy's arranged all over. Her study was very well arranged. Her friends' photos
were stuck on the wall just above the study table, maan was surprised to find maximum
of his snaps there. she giggled I took it from your album. He noticed she had collected
his used refills & the papers which he had crushed & thrown. She had one of his shirts
hanging in her wardrobe. She had him everywhere.
Geet - aapne mujhe nahi bataye ki u topped
He kept quiet. For his surprise she came & held his arms & jumped the way she usually does
Main ridz ko batvongi..she will be so J..yeh yeh yeh!!!
