Why LTL works for me...

...and the rest of you! Come on, admit it!

I love the fact that we overreact when there's a good episode, also when there's a bad one. I also love the fact that these guys keep us on tenterhooks, never letting us know what's gonna happen next. Dutta marrying Nakusha(shaadi one) came as a shocker.I waited waited for him to fall in love and then came to the conclusion that he'd finally fall after she revealed her face. But no, LTL surprised me again, with it's jungle track and Dutta's realization. Oh boy! Then came the Anna track, which was so much fun to watch. And then when we finally saw the lovebirds together and felt things were finally alright, came DP. I know most here found the DP track lame, but I loved it. Totally. I feel we had some of the best Dutta and Tasha scenes during this track. Their characters truly evolved in this one month. And then came the FR which was a drag. And then the shaadi. Sigh. One of the highs in the show, and LTL was riding the wave, or still is after a month.

I am loving this track. The zig-zag twists and turns. The game between Kala and Naku where each stand on an equal footing, as of now. I am loving the snake and ladder game Dutta's playing. He's her repentant lover one day, and heartless husband another. I love the unpredictability and the fact that this show is not giving me what I want. It is giving me better than that! Dutta's battle isn't that easy. If it were, we wouldn't call TaSha's story an e-LS!

Come on, admit it guys...we love it when there's a beautiful TaSHa scene. We are all despondent when Dutta slams Naku. This is so much like love, with its highs and lows. Atleast this show isn't boring me with its predictability. It's only the pace that sometimes scares me, but the last 2 months have been awesome. I am not giving up on the show anytime soon.

Hey liz, great post, and it is true. I like LTL because of its unpredictability (hey I spelled that right in the first go!!!) and well, a little bit of Baji and Dutta as well😳😆, There is also another reason I like LTL though, the track morey track in the beginning, I am interested in women's rights and stuff but anyways how the hell do you manage to write like full fledged essays on LTL? You and others as well, I mean if someone asked me to do an essay/analysis voluntarily I would like vomit all over them😆 But your posts are interesting and it shows that you actually look into the show and notice every point

@Liz: I still love the show...and love the characters esp Dutta's so lovingly crafted and played. But I am feeling disheartened by news from behind the scenes that the editing glitches seen this week were a result of channel last min interference gone haywire. I get the impression it may not stop here. I am too scared to continue watching the show. I am too attached to it see it butchered away.

I agree with you..it's not the fault of the CVs.
Yes, Dutta is one character that has been crafted lovingly. Bahut pyaar se seencha gaya hai. And the fact that they've nurtured it so beautifully, allowed it to grow in this one year...THAT gives me hope. I can forgive the CVs all their unfinished tracks, and their bloopers because of this. Dutta and Naku have remained true to themselves. We were scared that we wouldn't be able to connect to the fair Naku. And yet, we're fast falling in love with her. I'm amazed at the consistency they've maintained with these two characters.
I don't think they can spoil a show like LTL, especially when they have loyal viewers like us. I'm keeping faith. 😊 And about your last line, I wish I could do that too. But when I love something, I find it impossible to stop loving it...no matter how twisted it becomes. I guess I'm like Nakusha in that respect. I love LTL the way she loves Dutta. ❤️ This show has given me hope, lots and lots of it...I cannot stop watching it even if I want to. Not as long as it remains true to itself.

With all my heart and soul and intellect
I will stand by you till you stand by yourself and your essence and values
I will continue to believe in you till you fight to retain your identity, against heartless editors and dimwit decision makers
But Alas I will go separate ways the day you give up and lose your self
Coz i love you too much to see you die!!
@Liz @shreya - understand both your POV
Liz -you deserve a 👏for your red comments!!

Totally agree with you. I have been hooked to LTL from Feb. 2010 and it is the only show I watch. I love it for its careful crafting of each and every character. I am disappointed of the exit of Sethiji, Ganpat and Babi but keep hoping that they will return in some future track. It seems I cannot get enough of the show. I was so happy when they moved LTL from 4 day to 5 day. Now I wish they would give more weekend specials too.😆😆😆

Nicely Written.

Exactly my thoughts too..There is some magic in LTL that keeps me glued to it.. Part of it is Dutta's character. I know we call him gadha, bewda, idiot, brainless etc etc...But without that character, LTL is a no-brainer too...And he is real...😆 And Nakku...her selfless love, Baaji, their friendship...these 3 characters are gems that make me forgive any mistakes/glitches by editors/CVs etc etc. When I feel disappointed about anything in LTL, I just have to remind myself about how well this story has progressed and build on till now and....everything is forgiven.

We have understood Dutta's character so much that even though his brooding scenes were cut out mercilessly by the editors yesterday, we did understand that he had already decided on being harsh on Nakku and is talking so against his heart! That is the beauty here.

About the editing glitches, I hope it is not something that will continue. The channel guys screwed up Tuesday's epi by mistake. To make it up, they had to cut out some scenes from this week. They selected the wrong scenes. I am not going to be very worried about that. Hope they don't make any more mistakes like Tuesday though!

Thanks for this post!
