Lataji got life time achievement award from Global Indian Music Awards.

I love this song sung now by Shankar... what a beautiful song. ... the original by Lata and Mukesh was a super hit.

It was nice to see both LATA and ASHA bond..it was very touching indeed and i am glad both the sisters have got back together.

Shankar Mahadevan is one of the best singers we have in our industry today. 😳 He did sing well, but I am not a fan of remixed of great legends like this.

Lata Mangeshkar's and Mukesh's original version will always be my favorite.

Lata Mangeshkar looks like such a cute little old lady. 😳 Asha Bhonsle looks still so young and has aged very gracefully! She still can sing soo well! Does not look 78! 😲 So sweet that she took her sister's blessings. She respects her sister like her mother. Ir's very admirable, and I hope all siblings share this closeness.

Usha Uthup got quite emotional through all this. 😳

Lata Mangeshkar gave a very sweet and humble speech! AR Rahman is also sooo humble and down to earth! 😳

Was a beautiful and well deserved lifetime achievement award! 😃

Thanks for posting the videos of the Global Music Awards, I wanted to see it ever since I heard about it. some weeks ago.

It was so nice to see all the paragons of music there together along with the Music Gods Lata ji and Asha ji. I could see tears in Usha Uthup Ji's eyes and finally dropping all over.

I love the song "Ik pyar ka nagma hai" sung originally by Lataji and Mukesh ji, but I did not think Shankar ji did justice to the song. Just my opinion, I thought Sunidhi or Shreya Ghoshal would have sung it better.

I agree with you the original is so awesome and is embeded in our minds so strongly..I doubt if anyone can come close to it.
Nice to see both the sisters together ....blood is blood and come what may they are bound to overcome their differences and be a happy family once again.👏👏Forgive and forget.👍🏼

The award function might be really mesmerizing moments for all music legends over there.

Salim performance was very good. Ashaji's song may be private album only. I have not heard before.

I really enjoyed the function and I will post all the links.Salim is a sweetheart and you see he is so genuine.He was so good as a judge in Indian Idol compared to the jokers here.
