Apparently, Imagine has a few shows on backlog that have been waiting a long time to come on air. That's why Jyoti was ended suddenly and Bandini is going off air as well. Apparently Imagine wants to go through a revamp and that's why they're slowly pulling all their old shows off air and airing new ones. They don't want their shows to run longer than a year.

But the problem is that I only read that interview once and when I went to find it again to post here, it disappeared. That's why I asked whether this is just a rumour or not.

^^^ Precisely, it surfaced in August, and for it, Devi was rushed and pulled off the air. I actually thought at the time that they'd have done well to replace either DHKJ, PKCM orJyoti: Jyoti and Kabir were just starting, but given how it turned, they may as well have terminated that. Or else, they could have replaced PKCM, which even then was starting to drag. I didn't like Devi being replaced.

But this started in August, so what exactly is in the minds of the Imagine executives? They expect a debut hit from shows w/o giving them time to catch on? In that case, just show several GkD shows, where all you need is the right jodi, and that's it. Both Jyoti & Bandini were insufferable for long stretches, but they kept @ it, w/ leaps and what not.

With this show, it started off slow, but over the last couple of months, has been improving, and every episode nowadays is a dhamaka episode! And it's not a one star wonder either - while Vrinda provides the entertainment, so does Sarla, DK and Bhosle. So if the channel wanted to pull it, it doesn't deserve any good shows (Sorry, Imagine TV) while I don't expect a channel to tolerate low trps for long stretches, it's really annoying if the channel is fickle and wants to pull the plug on something b'cos it didn't hit a century on debut.

For Imagine, Bandini undoubtedly deserves to go, and after that, just persist w/ the current line-up for at least 2011. After that, if some shows don't click, pull them. If there are others in the pipeline, give them the 7-8pm or 11-12 midnight slots, even reshuffling some if needed.

Rakht Sambandh is a rocking show...It should not end so soon...

Fed up with this Off air news... Every week a post about ending .... There is no official announcement .. I would request moderators to delete any further post on ending ... If not confirmed

I agree, and have modified the heading accordingly! Although funnily enough, you did participate in that when you speculated that Sriti was in Gulaal, and maybe leaving the show, which would almost effect to the same thing, since lead actors are generally irreplaceable. You yourself found the former to be false, and therefore, the latter as well.

At any rate, I'm freezing this thread, and any more posts I see about the serial ending is going to be moved right here, w/o any response. The day the channel or someone official makes a statement to this effect, it will be worth revisiting.
