Hie Danav!

Girl, I have only watched the first season of the show and though I do agree, it is better than HSM and calling it a high school drama isn't very apt - its sorta something all kids might not be allowed to watch. You're getting the drift, right? 😆 Here HSM takes the cake, perfectly universal and kid-drool-worthy.

And I dont think Glee's not apprieciated, of course it is! To your question in the end, I'd say it is new and refreshing and well, I used to love the songs at the end of the episode the most. The show is quite different, and umm its got a lot to present to the audiences, with varied tastes and interests in comparison to other high school tales. 😃

also one more thing I'd like to point out is that the kids on hsm seem to look more "perfect", which is the polar opposite of the glee characters lolz

HSM is a whole different genre, but I enjoyed it. I actually saw HSM 3 in the theaters. I wanted Zac Efron to be the next John Travolta. I was a fan of Ashley Tisdale from Suite Life days. I have HSM on my I-pod - Bet on It, Scream, Status Quo, Boys are Back, I want it all etc. But in the end its a Disney show. While it attempts to deal with high school stereotypes it does it in a very sugary sweet Disney way. The characters are too black and white, and everything always ends well.

Glee on the other hand is much more realistic. There is no sugar coating. It does not shield audiences from the negatives. And all characters are grey. The best loved characters Rachel Berry and Sue Sylvester actually are quite terrible selfish human beings on the show. Everyone has their shallow moments as well as redeeming moments.

Of course I love the music. I'm always eager to see how the will redo a classic or make a modern pop/rock song acapella or classic acoustic. Singing in the rain is one of my all time favorite musicals and I loved the fact that they introduced it to new generations. It is sad that so many people these days dont know the old musicals like Singing in the Rain, My Fair Lady, Guys & Dolls.

Some themes I'd like to see Glee Do

- Ke$ha
- Rent
- Sound of Music
- Abba
- Beatles
- Marilyn Monroe
