@eclat, you forgot a couple of items in your list - they keep their maiden names, don't take the husband's name, say Vaa pO Ennada, etc, (while some of us are still saying Vaanga, pOnga, etc), and the children get different last names from either of the parents! This last has been a trend in families here in the US!
