Decoding Ali Merchant
Ali Merchant kept declining the buzz that he had been approached by Bigg Boss to appear on the show for two weeks and announce his wedding with girlfriend Sara Khan.
He finally appeared on the show thereby putting his credibility and honesty in serious doubts after having given innumerable bytes to media that he won't enter in the show to discuss his personal issues with beau Sara. Apparently, Ali, Sara and Ashmit are good friends for years now, a buzz Ali has openly challenged. Soon Ashmit and Sara started flirting with each other on the show which many think was a well rehearsed script just to set the stage for Merchant.
Just when Sara was busy letting Ashmit get cosy with her, smell her hair and tearing her pictures with Ali, like a doting boyfriend Merchant waited in desperation for just one golden chance to clear misunderstandings with her. But we feel that parting with newly-wed wife (which we seriously doubt) has taken a toll on Ali as he is apparently campaigning for the same guy who openly abused his wife on Bigg Boss. Ever Since Ashmit has been nominated by his inmates in big Boss this week, Ali has sent out innumerable text messages pleading one and all to vote in favour of Ashmit. He wants his friends and their friends to send as many as 99 messages for Ashmit, wonder he is even planning to shell out money to pay for our mobile expenses. Or as if we actually care about Ashmit's presence or absence on the show.
When confronted, Ali says matter-of-factly, "Well, I keep sending text messages and between Manoj and Ashmit, I will obviously choose to support the latter."
So isn't he unperturbed or upset over Ashmit's remarks on Sara? "Things change every moment on Bigg Boss and the inmates keep fighting only to kiss and make-up the next moment. He didn't abuse her really. People have been spreading the news that Sara and I are friends with Ashmit for quite sometime now which isn't true. I ask them to prove it to me and I am ready to lose out anything on that."
When contacted, Sara's co-actor from Bidaai, Angad Hasija and evicted inmate Hrishant said, "As far as we know Ali didn't know Ashmit before Bigg Boss." However our source affirms that Sara-Ali know Ashmit before Bigg Boss happened to them.
