I do like the kinda equal amount of episodes like KMH1 and I think for a saga like KMH,it is sweet if it remains short but then we do need to make them know that we are looking for a season 3. this show will be the first show whose season 2 is very appreciated and loved! I can understand KMH haters are narrow minded in the sense they only want to see what they have seen and they refused to accept changes! As it is a season 2,i will like to tell them that the creative team has carefully made a choice of topic because this time it is not of selling the show,like it was for KMH1-it was a product and it was very much warmly received and there were other critical success factors,other key performance indicators,like they presented a team of fresh talented people,a team that have to show their potential,with a very simple idea,the show as written and set on the screen,it was a journey! Believe me dudes,to those people who are ignorant of business worl,even movie or telly show industry is a business world, I will talk in numbers with you and I will first talk on the KMH1. A show is a product! The cost they have to incur to make the product(the input+process) must always be lower than their revenue generation,this is why they will make a profit!
So KMH1,what is the input:
salary of the whole team - from the actors to the cameramen
travelling cost - to those places where it was not done in studio
rent cost- renting a location is expensive
staff welfare - food and other benefits to the staff
electricity cost - 'all the beautiful lights that charm us were not a free gift.'
water - minimal but still is here - the rain sequence we enjoy does not come for free
fashion - the dress the players wear,come on,we all know how much they cost-even if it is hired-well there is the hiring cost
hairstylist and make up- though it was very simple but they have to bear the cost,no one can come infront of the camera without having minimal make up because it will have skin damage
sound effect - audio cost dude!
songs - the bolly song- u cant have a bolly song in ur show if you have not paid for the copyrights
the process - these people who entertain us - these people who we like - from purvi to arohi,actually every one who give u emotion of happiness or angriness in you - well guys,it is not like reading a book and let the imagination flow- they have to do takes and retakes until it match to what the producers who look at the public'eyes that they will be satisified,so believe me,what they are showing,they took care of how it is being received!
Now we love them and the show because we are entertained but then we must not forget that this is the bread winning job of these people. I am not telling you that they have some financial constraint or whatever,it is none of our business,but I would like to tell people,especially those who work,should agree on the fact that WORK IS WORK! In any work,we must constantly improve performance,be efficient for effective results,these players are not different than any work!
So in taking all this and going for sponsorship and all,they then come to you,the public who will like the show!You are their customers and all the comments that you have are quite welcome but you are not the only thing that count for them,performance measurement of a product or industry or company depend in four things:
(1) financial perspective
(2) customers
(3) internal processes
(4)learning and groW*H!
Please note that we are only part of it but as it is movie industry,it is the most important one!
It counts - the receipt of the show - constructively criticise will help the players to improve or like- their work being appreciated are for themselves a happy thing!(that is the output)
And it does not end to this,KMH1 was so well done,that we (customers) looked for a season 2!
A season 2 - crops for the production team and they have to make a choice - what did the people like most in their show -how to do the season 2- where to do it- why to do it- is it worthwhile -the public demand? They know that most people love Arjuhi - some understood the story some just love their chemistry and therefore they know the success of the show lies in them - they are the core assets of the show!
So,well,even if the pair in real life are together,it does depend on them - will they accept or not? Their costs are a bit higher than the first one because the first one - no one know them but now they are being loved! This matter is taken into consideration! Secondly what they need to do is story research - name a show where it is not inspired from any movie or is there any movie not inspired from something else? Public demand in a hand and story research in another hand! The idea of a sequel,as many of the fans demanded were not so well received by their creative team,because they know,it will not be the same sizzling effect,and people will get bore in a while so what they decided were lets go for a new story,lets make Arjuhi the new romance iconic avtar- guys,looked back and u will see,there were not any favourite jodis who could have branded as the iconic romance avtar and they decided to keep Arjuhi as a saga! The team has changed because the whole story has changed,the cost are a bit higher when assessing the real value of money but introducing some of the characters were also like they did in the first one -fresh new talents! They did not want their audience to look the same thing because they know the audience will look more for KMH1 and if thats the case then why they should bother a KMH2. The way they start the story is different and make sure for the audience to understand it is a new one! Now when they know that audience is looking forward for the sizzling chemistry of the lead roles,they have to show it from the start to please the audience! I was just watching again first 10 episodes and what I like in the show,it has moved so much from the episode 1 to 10 and then 11 to 20. I am not watching the same thing everyday,I am not watching melodrama,what I am getting to see makes me smile and entertained and appreciate,yeah at times,I am patient with the story but I don't feel angry because the actors give a good performance! Thr face expressions and body language do show the same trend and not having a happy facial expression and an uneasy body language! They are relaxed and know the bits of their work! The team did make sure that their title of their show talk about the same concept,it is like writing an essay and a class of 40 pupils give the teacher 40 different scripts for the same title,similarly KMH 1 was one essay and KMH2 is another essay but with the same meaning! If you keep feeling frustrating,then get a break with a kitkat and switch show! By the way guys,if you will like to show lovely romance between married couple,then the best one is Shantanu and Khanak from Rang de Odhani(starone,i think),I don't watch the show but at times I like to watch the ShaNak scenes,definitely worthwhile. DIfferent from our Arjuhi but worthy!
